NUTRITION MONTH CELEBRATION

JULY, 2018
THEME: “UGALIING MAGTANIM, SAPAT NA NUTRISYON AANIHIN.”

Every year we at M.B. Asistio Sr. High School – Unit 1 joined the whole nation in
celebrating the Nutrition Month. This year theme focuses on food production at home through
the family’s own garden. This is the food planted at home (inside our outside your home), in
your little backyard or farm.

The Nutrition Month Theme 2018 aims to improve the healthy food consumption of
Filipinos, food security or to be self-sufficient as possible with backyard gardening.

Having food gardens can help improve the family as well as the community’s food
security. If you have plenty of vegetables or fruit crops, you can even sell some of them to earn
additional income for the family.

We prepared a variety of activities that will surely enhance and educate our learners on
eating right foods the natural and economical way by means of backyard gardening.

Our opening program attended by our principal, Mr. Emmanuel C. Aguilar

 The program started by a zumba dance led by TLE/TVL teachers and selected students.

A warm welcome remark was done by our ever supportive

department head, Mrs. Aurora G. Jimenez.

 Our closing program includes awarding of winners and dance presentation of NutriIdol
Candidates.

Indeed with all our hardships and unquestioned efforts all of them are paid-off as we
see the smiling face of our students.
