Promote the values of dual training system, self-worthiness among students, faculty and staff, to establish quality standard, performance, and
functional transition for students to become productive and responsible citizen of the country.

Be a leading provider of highly globally competitive graduates and to help students achieve their goals in life as well-rounded individuals with a
sound mind and a sound body and be a functional service in the world.

Program Educational Objectives

AZGH College BS Psychology program aims to produce globally competitive graduates who will be professionally competent, morally upright,
and socially responsible contributors to national development.

Specifically, in three to five years after graduation, the BS Psychology alumni shall:

1. Practice as professionals for the advancement of society: and


2. Promote professionalism in the field of teaching, research, human resource management, basic psychometrics, training and development.

Student Learning Outcomes/Program Learning Outcomes

The program must enable students to attain, by the time of graduation:

A) Demonstrate the capability to discuss and analyze the major theories and concepts in psychology (knowledge in psychology)
B) Demonstrate and apply methods of psychological inquiry in building knowledge on local culture context (psychological research
C) Demonstrate and apply psychological theories and methods in personal and professional setting (application for psychology)
D) Demonstrate capability for capability for self-reflection and independent learning in graduate education or in a professional
context (independent learning)
E) Demonstrate professional and ethical behaviors in research and practice in Psychology (ethics)
F) Demonstrate harmonious interpersonal relationship with colleagues, clients and others (interpersonal skills) in
diverse cultural setting.

Course Code:

Course Title: Understanding the Self

Course Description:
The course covers the basic concepts and methods of descriptive and inferential statistics and their use in the design, analysis, and interpretation
of psychological studies.

The laboratory component will use the basic computer applications to apply the basic concepts and methods of descriptive and inferential
statistics and their use in the design, and interpretation of psychological studies.

Credit Units: 3 units
