OVERVIEW:

This module focuses on helping students gain knowledge of


who they are. Self-exploration is having a clear perception of their
personality, including strengths, weaknesses, thoughts, beliefs,
motivation, and emotions.

The purpose of this module is to help the students deepen


their understanding and appreciation for who they are as a
person.

This module can help them navigate from difficult but


important process by increasing their understanding of
themselves.
COMPETENCY:

 Strong sense of Self-Identity.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

 Apply tips learned in this course to set goals.

 Describe short-term, medium-term, and long-term goal time frames.

 Create their own goal plan (Professional, Educational and Personal).

Activity 1:

I AM AWARE:
GUIDED MEDITATION
“When we focus our attention on ourselves, we evaluate
and compare our current behavior to our internal
standards and values. We become self-conscious as
objective evaluators of ourselves.”

Meditation is a foundational practice for improving self-
awareness. To focus solely on your breathing is to focus on a key
internal process.

You’ll become aware of how your mind wanders, and get


better at snapping out of distractions.

Meditation is one of the most helpful tools for cultivating


self-awareness, as we delve into our thoughts, feelings,
emotions, and sensations to discover what’s there.
OBJECTIVES:

1. To introduce students to simple meditation to make their minds


calm and clear.

2. To allow students to freely express through sharing and writing


their thoughts and feelings.

3. To know oneself to the fullest.


EXPECTED OUTCOMES:

1. Increased awareness of oneself and their surroundings.

2. Reduced stress and develop concentration.

3. Developed positive mood and outlook.

WHAT IS SELF AWARENESS?

- The ability to understand yourself and to consciously be


aware of your personality, emotions, behavior, and necessities in life.

- Self-awareness can help you make important choices,


maintain a positive attitude, and have healthy habits.

- Those who struggle in areas of self-awareness may make poor


choices, have bad habits, and lack progression in life.
- The sooner we process our thoughts and feels, the
sooner we can find inner peace.

- Self-awareness has many mental and emotional


benefits.

BEING YOUR
BEST SELF
“Be yourself, but always your better self”

- It is an activity use for reflection to help you discover
things about yourselves that will empower you to transform into
the person you always knew you could be.

- This allows opportunities for you to learn how you can


bring your best qualities into your lives.

- Having a picture of yourself will allow you to become


your best version by stretching to grow and develop on the road
to becoming the person you were meant to be.
OBJECTIVES:

1. To provide opportunity for students to have a clearer image of


oneself.

2. To acknowledge students, traits/qualities, talents, values,


accomplishments and perception.

3. To provide guide to students to becoming their best self.

4. To identify areas for self-improvement.


EXPECTED OUTCOMES:

1. To accomplish the activity sheet and be able to share their


own responses in the class about their traits/qualities,
talents, values, accomplishments and perception.

2. Increased awareness of aspects for changes and self-


improvement.

3. To fully expressed an continually explore one’s full potential.

HOMEWORK:
Self-portraits offer people a creative outlet to express how they view
themselves in a non-threatening format. In addition, self-portraits will provide
you with a deeper understanding of everyone’s background.

1. Choose a photo of you and paste it in the homework activity sheet,


consider how you feel about your body, home life, school, friends and social
activities. Give yourself a few minutes to grasp the activity. Make sure you
describe yourself to the best of your ability.
2. As you go along with your self-portrait. Kindly refer to the following
guide questions.
 How is your portrait different from the image you project to others?
 What is a step you are willing to take to improve your vision of yourself?
 How will you use what you have learned today?
HOMEWORK:

Bring the following materials on our next meeting for the “Self-Portrait Bag:”

 cartolina
 coloring materials( color, crayon, colored pencils, markers)
 scissors
 paste/glue
 art paper, colored paper
 used magazine
