(Minimum of 3-4 sentences per question)
1. Briefly describe the field experience. What did you learn about technology coaching and technology leadership from completing this field
experience?

For this field experience I designed a professional development session in which I showed teachers a variety of different instructional technology tools that
they could use in their classrooms. The first part of this experience involved me gathering the resources for the help session. The second part consisted of me
putting together the presentation I used to present the tools to these teachers. The final step was the delivery of the help session, which was followed by a 1
hour Q&A session with personal assistance to teachers who requested it.

2. How did this learning relate to the knowledge (what must you know), skills (what must you be able to do) and dispositions (attitudes, beliefs,
enthusiasm) required of a technology facilitator or technology leader? (Refer to the standards you selected above. Use the language of the PSC
standards in your answer and reflect on all 3—knowledge, skills, and dispositions.)

Knowledge – There were several different things I had to be knowledgeable for in order for this help session to be successful. First, I had to have knowledge
of the instructional technology tools I wanted to use. Second, I had to have knowledge of the best way to present these tools to teachers in a way that they did
not feel overwhelmed by the amount of information required of them. To accomplish this I broke down the session into two segments repeated throughout;
learn then practice. Third, I had to have enough knowledge about the tools to be able to help individual teachers after the session with their specific
questions.

Skills – The skills I had to have to successfully complete this technology session was primarily the ability to break down instructional technology into
manageable parts. This allowed teachers to learn about a variety of tools in a short amount of time, without feeling as if they were drowning with too much
information. Additionally, I had to have troubleshooting skills to answer the questions that teachers had after the initial session.

Dispositions – The disposition that was necessary for this field experience was that of an open-minded technology coach. I had to make sure that I was
looking at the session from the perspective of a teacher who is new to instructional technology. This disposition is what allowed me to present the session in
small pieces, which made the information more accessible.

3. Describe how this field experience impacted school improvement, faculty development or student learning at your school. How can the impact be
assessed?
This field experience impacted faculty development because it provided them with a variety of instructional technology tools that they could use in their
classrooms. Allowing the faculty time to work with the tool allowed them develop something to use before they even left the room. The impact of this
session can be assessed through classroom observations and teacher reports.
