Scope of Work:
i) Dwarka Station : The following are the activity’s and Scope for construction
of dwarka station
So for the above it is clear that we have to complete the project within 2 years schedule of
time.
The total of cost of the project is 132 crore Project and it’s a lump sum contract. However
the payment will be done based on the montly basis making a note of percentage of work
completed in the corresponding month.
Important Points from contractors point of view to be monitored /resolved:
Because if handover of such obstruction free area gets delay will lead to interim extension of
time and thus having implication on overall completion of project.
Further as per contract there are some key dates fixed by DMRC. If we are failed to achieve
the same there will be a LD (Liquidity damage). It is about 0.01 % of the contract value per
week delay

The above are the scheduled key dates to achieve contractually and in order to achive the
same we have developed a construction program the same has been enclosed and the same
program is monitored on the regular basis.

From the above organisation chart it is clear that the

a) Project Director : the main function of Project director is giving suggestions to the
front line managers to execute the works in effective and economical manner
b) Project manager: He is the whole responsible person to complete the works in all
aspects and timely coordination with the client.
c) Deputy project manager (Viaduct and Piling works) : he and his team is responsible
for completion of all piling works involved in the work and completion of in-situ civil
works in viaduct like pile cap, pier, casting of deck slab, crash barrier etc.
d) Deputy project manager (Ramp and Station): he and his team is responsible for
completion of the elevated ramp and all the civil and architectural finishing works of
the stations
e) Deputy Project manager (Casting yard and erection works)
He and his team is responsible to cast and erect all the precast and pre tensioned
elements involved in the project, elements like I Girder, Parapet, and some precast
walls in the stations
f) Reinforcement / Enabling works :
He and his team is responsible for controlling and fabrication of
reinforcement required to the execution team.
g) Interface manager : he is responsible for the communication with the client in order
to solve any type of issues between employer and client
h) Planning and Commercial : He and his team is responsible for all the planning,
programing, monitoring and billing works and making the communications with the
client in a right times
i) Design Engineer: He and his team is responsible for communication with the
consultancy and getting the drawings from them and making them approval and
issuing the same to the execution team timely.
j) Architectural engineer: He and his team is responsible for getting the approval of all
architectural type of works.
k) QAQC: He and his team is responsible for controlling and monitoring all the quality
issues at site and providing the concrete in time.
l) Mechanical & Electrical in charge : He and his team is responsible for manintianing
and planning the required equipment in time for the execution team
m) Survey in charge: He is responsible for making all the survey for the site and giving
the required coordinates and points to the site.
n) Chief SHE manager : he and his team is responsible to take care of all safety issues
in the site
o) Administration: he and his team is responsible to take care of all labours and moving
the project as per the labour laws and labour acts and making arrangements for the
vehicles etc.
p) Accounts in charge: he and his team is responsible for the payments of all sub-
contractors and purchasers timely as such work won’t be hampered.
q) Store in charge : he and his team is responsible for providing and getting the
required materials to the execution team timely as such there won’t be any hamper
in the works.
r) Purchase Incharge : he and his team is responsible to purchase the required
materials in time as such there should not be any hamper in works due non
availability of the materials
Monitoring:
In order to complete the works in time the monitoring is the most
important part which generally done by the planning team.
For client monitoring a contractual key dates are fixed by the DMRC, in order to achieve the
same a program has been made using Microsoft project, which got approved by the client.
Based on this program regularly monitoring in the form of Daily Progress reports and
Fortnightly Progress reports.
Further we send monthly Progress report including all the details like 3 months rolling
program, Areas of concern, list of obstructions and obstructions cleared dates etc.
Further every 15 days we are intimating the client about the present obstructions and
requesting them to clear the same.
In some cases due to delay in handover of the area some key dates are not achieved which
were timely informed and made communication with the client as such there won’t be any
liquidity damages from client side.
