15th Annual BBQ

The Nashua Volunteer Fire Department hosted
its 15th Annual Firemen’s Barbecue Fund-Raiser
this past Saturday at the Nashua Civic Center.
Along with a delicious dinner of pulled pork, baked
beans, baked potatoes, cole slaw and desserts.
Along with the meal were door prizes, a silent
auction and a 50/50 raffle. Following the meal was
music by Pippin DJ. Attendance was somewhat
hampered by the cold, wet and windy weather, but
it was still a good crowd that turned out in support
of the NVFD which was much appreciated as this

First Lady is headed

for Yellowstone Park
First Lady Melania Trump is
headed to Yellowstone National Park on
Thursday, according to a White House
press release.
“First Lady Melania Trump
will travel to Wyoming on Thursday,
October 3rd to visit some of America’s
treasured national parks and spread the
message of her initiative, BE BEST.”
Earlier this month, alongside the
National Park Services (NPS), Mrs.
Trump and fourth grade students from
a local DC school participated in the
ceremonial grand reopening of the
Washington Monument. Mrs. Trump
also helped distribute “Every Kid
Outdoors” passes, a program of NPS
that provides students with free access
to hundreds of America’s beautiful
national parks, lands, and waters.
The Casper-Star Tribune added
that Interior Secretary David Bernhardt
will also join the First Lady on the trip:
“According to an itinerary
provided by the White House, she will
be joined by Secretary of the Interior
David Bernhardt. The trip will also
feature visits with dozens of local fourth
graders, as well as a stop with a Jackson-
area Boy Scout troop in the Jackson
