The joysticks output a pulse width modulated signal (PWM). The PWM output of the joysticks in
the center or neutral position is approximately 50 percent duty cycle. The PWM output of the
joysticks at the extreme limits is approximately 5 and 95 percent duty cycle. The factory defaults
of the calibration settings for the joysticks and the pedals are 5, 50 and 95 percent duty cycle. The
joysticks can be calibrated independently or the joysticks can be calibrated as a group.
The percentage values of the joysticks may be viewed with the Electronic Technician or via the
message center.
A diagnostic code is logged if the PWM output or the duty cycle are not within the limits that are
shown in table 1.
