Testimony in Preparing for the BLEPT

With my four years of stay in this institution, I can confidently say that I am very
much satisfied with the kind of education that this school had imparted in me. Why?
Because I am well prepared for the next chapter after graduation. The chapter of
taking and passing the Board Licensure Examination for Professional Teacher and
facing the real word of teaching profession.

Allow me to emphasize with you the word PREPARATION. Preparation is indeed

the main ingredient in order to successfully pass one of the most difficult requirements
to be called a professional by license. Let us use mnemonics for you to easily
remember how to PREPARE.

P-Prayer

Always start every session of your review with a short prayer. A simple way of
communicating with God that will definitely lead to peace of mind. Then have a smart
goal. Dapat alam mo sa sarili mo ang gusto mong i-achieve. Pwede mo itong isulat as
your goal list at i-post sa room mo para maremind ka sa araw-araw hanggang Sa result
ng exam.

R- Realistic time

Set realistic time for review. Magset ka ng realistic time frame para i-accomplish mo
ang smart goals mo. Magkaroon ka ng study timetable na susundin mo para yung
exam coverage ay mareview mo.

E- Exercise or Test Yourself Frequently

Huwag ka lang magbasa ng magbasa ng notes mo, also try to quiz yourself on the key
concepts and equations. At bilang paghahanda sa board, do as many practice
questions as you can from different sources.

P-Place of Review

Iconsider ang place kung saan ka magrereview. Make sure ang study environment mo
ay comfortable, organized, quiet at aesthetically pleasing. Makatutulong ito para
maging focused, motivated at inspired ka.

A- Aim High

Huwag ka lang maghangad ng eksaktong 75% rating just to pass the BLEPT. It`s a
malpractice that will surely lead you to flunk the exam. Aim for a higher rating but a
realistic one. The more the higher it is, the more you will be motivated to do great.

R- Review Information Periodically

Mas okay ang periodic review kung gusto mong mapunta ang information from your
short-term memory to your long term memory. Makatutulong ito para makakuha ka ng
higher board exam rating.

E- Evaluation

Evaluate your progress in every end of review sessions by taking a bunch of test
questions. To determine the area where you excel and needs more review time. This
will also identify if your strategy is effective or not. If not, better shift to an appropriate
learning strategy that is best suit to you.
