Position Summary

As a full-time Relief Pharmacist, you

The relief pharmacist will receive
monthly schedules with a minimum 32
guaranteed weekly hours. The location
of practice varies based on business

The Family Health Nurse plays a key


role in the provision of services for
patients in Copeman Healthcare
(CHC). Nursing includes provision of
family health nursing care to the
population of patients seen in the
family practice service. Areas of focus
include: assessing care needs on
intake, triage and navigation to
appropriate services, disease
prevention and health promotion, travel
medicine, chronic and complex
disease care management in
partnership with the physician and the
interdisciplinary team. The Family
Health Nurse collaborates with the
interdisciplinary team to optimize
patient engagement and care
outcomes.

 Maintain an up to date CPR
and ACLS certifications (ACLS
for Calgary only);

 Assists in the administration of
vaccines, vaccine inventory
and the flu campaign;
 Contributes to and writes
SOPs as required;
 Attends staff and clinical
meetings to stay up to date on
events in the clinic and clinical

with leader and participates in
performance review meetings;
 Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

 Active registration with


appropriate Provincial
Registered Nursing Body (e.g.
CARNA, CRNBC);
 Baccalaureate Degree in
Nursing;
 Preference given to those with
at least 5 years of Primary
Care nursing experience;
 Certified Diabetic Educator
preferred;
 Multidisciplinary/collaborative
team work experience
preferred;
 Current CPR certification;
 Current ACLS certification
preferred;
 Some travel may be required,
must have valid driver’s
license.

WORKING CONDITIONS

 You will be required to work in


a multi-disciplinary clinical
setting. Typically you would
work office hours however;
some flexibility may be
required to accommodate
service requirements for the
operation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 Family Health Nurse must


observe rigid standardized
guidelines to guard against
disease and accidental needle
sticks, chemicals used to
sterilize instruments. Physical
ability to do the job as you will
be spending time walking,
bending, stretching, and
standing.
