Note 2: Dormant working current means the product’s (including the internal LoRa module) working current, when it is
completely dormant without any wireless data sent or received. LoRa wireless CAD interception will be
performed intermittently in the wireless module's sleep state. By default, 32ms of wireless CAD interception will
be performed in the factory state (listening state current is about 15mA). The factory inspection index of the
product is the dormancy current without the LoRa module, typically 15uA, with a maximum value of 26uA (the
dormancy current is 3.9uA when LoRa module is dormant and there is no wireless data sent or received). The
Note 3:The working temperature range is -20-60℃, limited by the working temperature range of the 3V(CR1220) button
battery inside the product that supplies power to the RTC IC.
Note 4:Resolution refers to the minimum variation that can be detected by the sensor while working in its valid range.
Note 5:Accuracy refers to the difference between the real data and the data shown on the sensor.
Note 6:Zero temperature drift refers to the angle offset after a minor change over room temperature, where the fixed
Note 5:Refresh time refers to the time used to renew the angle data in either axis.

1. Command Format:
Parameters of the write command are placed in “()”, multiple parameters are separated by “,”;
All commands start with @, with the second character being R (read command) or W (write
command). "\t" is a tab character and is displayed in ASCII format as multiple spaces. \tE after a write
command (in front of Enter) means that a return value from the sensor is requested. Without \tE,
parameters can be written into the sensor, but no return value is sent from the sensor. This is used to
set up multiple node parameters in a network broadcast. After setting up, you can send commands to
If the LoRa module on the inclinometer is set to node mode, the central node (LoRa gateway or
LoRa module set to be the central node) must send the address of the LoRa module (Node_ID
hexadecimal 2-byte) before sending commands, otherwise there will be no response. For example, if
the LoRa module Node_ID on the inclinometer is set to 0x0004, the central node can send a command
such as \x00\x04@RDAT\r\n (in ASCII format) while reading real-time data. "\x00\x04" are escape
characters of 0x00 and 0x04; "@RDAT" is the command to read real-time angle data; "\r\n" are escape
character of Enter (0x0D 0x0A in hexadecimal), which can also be done by ticking the “feed a new

3. Command Analyzing
Send command "@RDAT", and the sensor replies "X-02.5460\t Y+01.6362\t T+15.9\t V3.6\tI\r\n"".
The return value indicates that the angle in X axis, according to the sensor, is -0.25460°. "\t" is tab, a
number of spaces in ASCII format. The angle in Y axis is 1.6362°, the temperature is 15.9℃, and
MCU the power supply voltage is 3.3V. "I" means that the sensor is now supported by the internal
power (internal and external power can be available at the same time, and the sensor will
Note: if the LoRa module on the sensor is set to node mode, the address of the LoRa module
(Node_ID) must be sent in hexadecimal codes before sending commands, otherwise there
will be no response. For example, if the address of the LoRa module is 0x0004,
Send “@RRCD”,
This means that the X axis angle saved last time by the sensor was -0.25460°, 1.6362° for the Y
axis, 15.9℃ for the temperature, and 3.3V for the MCU power supply voltage. “I” indicates that the
sensor is now powered by an internal power supply, “170504” indicates that the date of recording is
May 4 2017, and “172300” indicates that the time of recording is 17h 23m 00s.
Note: When the command is sent, only the most recent historical records saved will be
returned. If there is no historical record or the time span between the time of saving and that
of reading is larger than the data collection interval, the real-time data will bereturned, which
The return value shows that the time the sensor received the ‘read RTC’ command was 11 h 20m
Note: There can be difference between time collected and the real time, due to the possible
The return value indicates that the time interval for the sensor to automatically collect data
repeatedly is 1 hour 2 minutes. This command is valid only for the automatic and timed data
collection mode.
The return value indicates that the sensor timeout is 10 seconds. In regular mode or automatic and
timed data collection mode (modes that can utilise sleep mode), the sensor reverts to sleep mode
consumption.
The return value indicates that the next time for the sensor to collect data is 11:20. The command is
The return value indicates that the operating mode of the sensor is regular mode.
The return value indicates that the angle setting of the sensor is relative angle mode.
Send command to set the RCT time of the sensor to 11h 20m 20s on February 9, 2017. The return
Note: The "\tE" at the end of the command indicates that a return value is expected from the
sensor after it receives the command. If the command excludes "\tE", there will be no return
value from the sensor after parameters are written; this is mainly used for batch setting of
Send command to set the data collection time interval of the sensor to 1 hour. If last time the timing
data collection was done at 10:20, the next time of timing data collection will start at 11:20. The data
collection time interval can be set to a value ranging from 1 minute to 24 hours, with a default timing
value of 1 hour.
Note: (1) The command must have both pm1 and pm2 parameters, which cannot be omitted
even if the parameter is 0. If the time interval of data collecting needs to be set to 30 minutes,
the command sent should be "@WINT" (00,30)". Setting the time to start data collection is
valid only in automatic and timed data collection mode. (2) In particular, if the value is set to
Sends the command to set the timeout of the sensor to 10 seconds. Setting the timeout of the
sensor is valid only in regular mode or automatic and timed data collection mode (modes that can
revert to sleep mode), and is void in the other modes. The range of the sensor timeout is 0-300s,
with a default value of 0, i.e. entering sleep mode immediately in response to the command (the
work indicator light flashes once). If the timeout is set to 10s, the sensor will enter sleep mode 10s
after receiving the command. In this case, the green light turns on if the power supply voltage is
over 3V, otherwise the red light keeps turns on (1s) and off (4s) and remains off when the sensor
12)Write the start-up time of the next data collection by the sensor: @WSTM(pm1,pm2)
Send the command to set the start-up time of the next data collection to 11:20. The format of time is
24 hrs. The default value is 00:00. Setting the start-up time of the next data collection is valid only in
automatic and timed data collection mode, when the RTC time of the sensor reaches the start-up
time, data collecting will be triggered automatically and a historical record will be saved.
Send the command to set the work mode of the sensor to automatic and timed data collection
mode.
0 Normal:regular sleep mode, passive awakening by communication, turning to sleep mode when
2 AutoSmp:automatic and timed data collection mode, the sensor collects and saves angle data
Note: It is suggested that time interval of data collecting and start-up time for next data
collection are set first, before setting the sensor to automatic and timed data collection
mode. Otherwise the sensor will start automatic and timed data collection on default, with
the next time of start-up being 00:00 and time interval of data collecting being 1 hour, which
means that the sensor will not start its first data collecting until the RTC time reaches 00:00.
The current angle of the sensor will be taken as zero when the command is received. The output will
be relative angles.
Output of relative angles will be terminated and the output will become absolute angles, when the
command is received.
Advice on Installation:
When installing the sensor, incorrect installation results in larger measurement deviation of the
angle. Please pay attention to the following two points when installing:
①: ‘Two planes’: the installation plane of the sensor and that of the object to be measured should be
against each other tightly (the installation plane of the object should be as horizontal as possible). There
should not be an angle in between the two planes (such as angle a in Diagram A). Diagram B shows the
correct installation.
②:‘Two lines’: the axis of the sensor and that of the measured surface should be parallel. There
should not be an angle between them (such as angle B in Diagram C). Diagram D shows the correct
installation.
Notes on Ordering:
1. The product is supplied as standard with an external rubber covered antenna.
2, The LoRa module default is 433 MHz, if 900 MHz operation is required, please state this.
