connected to the main process vessel such that the liquid level in the chamber is the same as that in the process vessel.
There are two process connections on the body of
the chamber which allow mounting to the vessel.

The instrument is mounted on top of the chamber
through the flanged or threaded instrument connection. A threaded version is available for the vertical float level switch.
Standard materials are carbon steel and stainless
steel, with other materials available upon request.
3.10.3 Chamber design
Rosemount 9901 chambers are designed to the
ASME B31.3 standard (B31.1 available), and are Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) compliant.
Weld neck flanges and full penetration welds in
accordance with EN ISO 15614-1:2004 and ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section IX are used through out. All welders are qualified to EN 287- 1:2004 and ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section IX.
All construction materials are fully traceable in
accordance with the EN 10204 type 3.1 certificate.
Every 9901 is hydro-tested as standard. A full range
of non destructive testing (NDT) is also available.
