Additional Manufacturing
location(s):
This equipment may be manufactured at any of the locations listed in QAR GB/BAS/QAR06.0072/04.
This certificate is issued as verification that a sample(s), representative of production, was assessed and tested and found to comply with the
IEC Standard list below and that the manufacturer's quality system, relating to the Ex products covered by this certificate, was assessed and
found to comply with the IECEx Quality system requirements. This certificate is granted subject to the conditions as set out in IECEx
Scheme Rules, IECEx 02 and Operational Documents as amended.
STANDARDS:
The electrical apparatus and any acceptable variations to it specified in the schedule of this certificate and the identified documents, was
found to comply with the following standards:
This Certificate does not indicate compliance with electrical safety and performance requirements other than those expressly included in the
Test Report:

Schedule
EQUIPMENT:
Equipment and systems covered by this certificate are as follows:
The Model 3144P HART Temperature Transmitter is designed to convert the input from up to two temperature sensors into a 4 to
20mA signal for measurement purposes.
The apparatus comprises an encapsulated main printed circuit board (PCB), a feed-through filter, terminal facilities and an optional
liquid crystal display (LCD), all housed in an aluminium or stainless steel enclosure.
The external connections are made using screw terminals via one of two tapped holes in the terminal compartment of the enclosure.
The loop connections, marked ‘+’ and ‘-’ may also be used for serial communications.
2. The enclosure may be made from aluminium alloy with a protective polyurethane paint finish; however, care should be taken to
protect it from impact or abrasion when located in Zone 0.
IECEx Certificate
of Conformity
Certificate No: IECEx BAS 07.0002X Issue No: 3
To confirm the current design of the Model 3144P HART Temperature Transmitter has been reviewed against the requirements of IEC
60079-0: 2011 and IEC 60079-11: 2011 in respect of the differences from IEC 60079-0: 2004 and IEC 60079-11: 2006, and with
exception of the markings, none of the differences affect the equipment.
In accordance with IEC 60079?0: 2011, the markings of the equipment have been revised to include the Equipment Protection Level
(EPL) marking. The revised markings are shown on page 1 of the certificate including the correction of the T5 ambient temperature
range.
The standards listed on page 2 of the certificate have been updated to list the new standards. The Condition of Certification listed of
page 3 of the certificate was revised to update the reference to the clause of IEC 60079-11: 2011 applicable and add a condition of
certification relating to the protection of the coated aluminium enclosure when located in Zone 0.
The certificate annex (Issue 1) was revised to update the notes associated with the load parameters in accordance with IEC 60079-11:
2011.
Variation 3.2
To permit minor component and drawing changes not affecting the original assessment.
Annex:
Apparatus Parameters
Ui = 30V Ci = 5nF
Ii = 300mA Li = 0
Pi = 1W
Sensor Terminals 1 to 5
Uo = 13.6V Ci = 78nF
Io = 56mA Li = 0
Po = 190mW
The capacitance and either the inductance or the inductance to resistance (L/R) ratio of the load connected to
sensor terminals 1 to 5 must not exceed the following values:
Notes:
1) The above load parameters apply when one of the two conditions below is given:
- the total Li of the external circuit (excluding the cable) is < 1% of the Lo value or
- the total Ci of the external circuit (excluding the cable) is < 1% of the Co value.
2) The above parameters are reduced to 50% when both of the two conditions below are given:
- the total Li of the external circuit (excluding the cable) is ≥ 1% of the Lo value and
- the total Ci of the external circuit (excluding the cable) is ≥ 1% of the Co value.
The reduced capacitance of the external circuit (including cable) shall not be greater than 1µF for
Groups IIB & IIA and 600nF for Group IIC.
