Commander’s Report
Time sure does seem to move fast these days. It is actually
time for another meeting! Our speaker this month is Jay Ginn and
his topic is on the Ford House. Jay is full of information and a

great fellowship, awesome door prizes, and who knows what else!
So, bring someone with you, come early, and as sure as BBs will

Mary Ann Forrest Chapter of the Order of Confederate Rose
The month of September has quickly passed us and with it more good things have been accomplished! The best of which was our
day at the VA Hospital on September 20th to unveil the MIA/POW chair that we, along with Camp 265, donated to honor our veterans.
It was one of the best days we’ve ever had the honor to be a part of.

Several of our members participated in a Living History Program with members of the Louisiana Division and the Mississippi
Division SCV, and we provided lunch for everyone. We were very well received and had a great time talking to visitors.

We have also started collecting small stuffed animals for a local fire department in Rankin County that will help to ease children who
go through a traumatic time.

The MAFOCR is doing all we can to promote the SCV in a positive light and I believe we are making an impact in our communities.
Thank you to everyone who works so hard to make us a shining light. – Brandi Gray, President, MAFOCR
