JOB DESCRIPTION AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

Job Title: Site Manager Incumbent: Jaco Oosthuizen

1. PURPOSE OF JOB

This position exists to optimally manage the shifts and project in the absence of the Project Manager eg. Cost,
Safety, Human Capital and discipline to achieve project objectives and targets.

1. Project Efficiency and Profitability Establish the project targets as per the tender
specifications
 Control overtime and any other ways to minimise costs
Physical check of the project and do risk
 Find possible solutions in minimising the costs on Project Daily assessment in conjunction with the employees
costing and it should be done on daily basis.

 Scope management and execution Control and monitor employees time and

 Project hand over

2. Management of Safety Systems on the Project and Workshop

 Obtain and apply SHEQ standards and procedures aligned with Toolbox talks before commencement of works

3. People Management

 Manage employment relationship Control and manage time and attendance

Address poor performance & misconduct
 Inform Project Coordinator of any abnormal behaviour from behaviour

Manage employee relations and discipline
 Manage leave approval for site employees

4. Customer relations

 Daily interact with clients to ensure good relations Meet the client on regular basis and attend all
clients request and concerns
 Act quickly and diligently on the client requests or concerns

5. Plant management

 Optimising plant utilization in the production (e.g one machine Check that minimum hours are covered
