This Week’s Focus Reminders


•  Math: Chapter 2: Test and Test Corrections: We spent time this
week reviewing the topics for our test and then took our time taking •  Check your child’s agenda

•  Reading: Nonfiction Unit: We learned about different text structures
by reading a story about the Wright Brothers and another story •  Check out the Data Binder!
about the Hover Dam! We also learned that sometimes a nonfiction
text can be written in more than one text structure! •  Please be sure you signed
up for parent-teacher
•  Writing: Editing and Publishing: We learned the difference between conferences! If you can’t
revising and editing and spent our week typing up our stories. We make it to either day, please
will keep conferencing with Mrs. Rusch and peers to make this story email me so that we can set

•  Grammar: Review: We reviewed all of the skills we have learned
thus far in grammar. •  I highly encourage practicing
multiplication and division
•  Science: Geosphere: Students learned how fossils play a role in facts
the layers of the earth and how Pangea affected the location of
fossils.
