Getting a Renewable Energy with the Help of Improvise Hydroelectric

Rainwater Turbine

Generation of electricity from renewable energy sources is becoming increasingly popular as

people try to reduce their dependence on fossil fuels and reduce the money they spend on
utilities. A small experiment in home hydroelectric power can be instructive in seeing how
the process works.
A micro-hydro turbine generator can be built to produce electricity on a small scale. Larger
scale hydroelectricity generation projects often use man-made structures, such as dams, to
alter the flow of water to increase efficiency.
We could create this by collecting water from the rooftop , use a pipeline connection from
rooftop to ground , when water will be flowing down can have a turbine in middle of pipeline
connected to generator turbine will rotate which makes generator to generate electricity.
For building a homemade water turbine electric generator we could use the Bernoulli’s
principle which states that an increase in the velocity of a fluid that is accompanied by a
decrease of pressure. Swiss scientist, Daniel Bernoulli (1700-1782), demonstrated that, in most
cases, the pressure in a liquid decreases as the liquid moves faster.
We’re using DC generator to convert mechanical energy into direct current electricity. This
energy conversion is based on the principle of production of dynamically induced emf.

There are many benefits of using rainwater as a source of electrical energy such as the energy
generated through hydropower relies on the water cycle, which is driven by the sun, making it a
renewable power source, making it a more reliable and affordable.

Hydroelectric power is a domestic source of energy, allowing each state to produce their own
energy without being reliant on international fuel sources.

After passing through the turbine , the water passes through the first filter, which is specifically
designed to clean rain that falls during the first two weeks of the wet season (since it’s higher in
acidity, soil, and contaminants). The water proceeds through a charcoal filter to remove smells,
flavors, colors, and other contaminants. Then it’s stored in a tank.
