Gretchen Custodio Diez, the transgender woman who was arrested Tuesday, August 13,
recounted how she was prevented from using a women's restroom in a Cubao mall in Quezon
City.
Diez said she regularly visited Cubao because she knew that discrimination is banned in Quezon
City.

-Because sa News they interviewed Gretchen Diez which is a common person who can
understand and empathize with a listener's concerns.
-And because it’s based on Gretchen Diez traumatic experience which Diez prevented from using
a women's restroom in a Cubao mall in Quezon City and got arrested

ANC Rundown: MANILA - President Rodrigo Duterte will certify as urgent a proposed law against
discrimination, but not the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity bill, his spokesperson said.

SOGIE equality bill is problematic because it supposedly “discriminates” since it benefits only
LGBTQ+.

An anti-discrimination law, on the other hand, “applies to everyone.”

Discrimination against “marital or relationship status, disability, HIV status, health
status or medical history, language, and physical features” are covered as well.
The Philippines is known for its diversity of culture and we have taken pride and
celebrate on that. On the other part of its diversity is the issue about the creation
of a comfort room intended for the people of third-sex or LGBTQ. In this concern
we do not agree as a Group, why? Because there is just a need of a wide
understanding and acceptance of the people with diverse backgrounds. We are all
humans. We are fair. There is nothing wrong with a transgender entering either in
male or female cr. We understand and accept that because we RESPECT each one
of you. The problem with us, humans are not knowledgeable and not fully informed
with the changes that the society has become.
If ever maaprobahan ang nga SOGIE BILL sa senate let’s say they will build
infrastructure for them like CR ganon, what for? To divide us? Like dito ung part
namin jan yung part nyung normal people then what?
We are not haters ng mga LGBTQ members. We do respect them; I do respect all
of us.
On our own perspective If naipasa ang SOGIE BILL we are just isolating them and
discriminate them because you are not allowed to enter either in male or female
CR. In short instead on focusing on that CR thing, let us create a culture of
acceptance and inclusivity in which people in this generation will feel that they are
loved by anybody.
