Pre Lesson : Pre- Listening
1. Teacher shows the Malaysian flag, ‘Jalur Gemilang’ to pupils.
2. Teacher asks pupils some questions about the flag.
a) Have you seen the flag before? (Yes/No).
b) What flag is this? (Malaysian flag).
c) What is the name of the flag? (Jalur Gemilang).
d) Do you love your country, Malaysia? (Yes).
e) Why do you love your country? (Its people – friendly, its food – tasty, …)
Lesson : While-Listening
Development 1. Teacher recites the poem and pupils listen to it.
2. Pupils talk about the people who live in Malaysia – naming the different races
and the festivals they celebrate.
3. Teacher divides pupils into 10 groups and gives them an envelope to each
group.
4. Pupils are required match the strips of information with the correct festivals
after listening to a factual text read by teacher.
5. Teacher and pupils discuss the answers.
6. Pupils choose a festival and tell the class about the festival.
Post Lesson : Post-Listening
Pupils draw a tree map about the different races in Malaysia and the festivals they
celebrate.

Lesson : Practice:
Development 1. Pupils are divided into groups of 4 – 5 pupils.
2. Teacher shows 8 sentences on the IQ Board and give each group one
sentence.
3. Each group is required to determine whether the sentences chosen for them
are correct or incorrect.
4. Pupils are also required to correct the wrong ones and rewrite the corrected
sentences on the whiteboard.
5. Teacher and pupils discuss and check the answers.
Post Lesson : Production:
1. Pupils are asked to do the exercise on Page 83 (Textbook).
2. Pupils are required to state whether the sentences are correct or wrong.
3. Pupils rewrite the incorrect sentences correctly.
