Project #3 Annotated Bibliography
Week 12 March 28April 1
Computer/Lecture Lesson Plan
12.1 1) Students bring PROPOSAL TOPIC PITCH
2) Students should get into groups and “pitch” their ideas to each other. After each
student has made a pitch, the groups should decide on what they’re going to go. Each
group will have a GROUP PROPOSAL HANDOUT
Homework
1) Refer to the ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY ASSIGNMENT: Each student must bring in at least 4 sources
for next “lecture” period. (You might have to move this if you want to work in an extra
day of something.)
Computer/Lecture Lesson Plan
12.2 1) Culling of sources (50 minutes): In their groups, students will decide on the 10
sources that they’re going to use. Each student will present his/her 4 sources, and
then the group will decide on which 10 sources to use according to the following
criteria:
Purpose: Does the source support the purpose of your proposal? How is the source
persuasive?
Audience: Will the audience accept/recognize the sources that you’re using?
Context: Is the source recent enough to be effective?
Credibility? Does the source have strong & appropriate ethos?
Use ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY PITCH. You can also use this simply to prioritize their sources rather
than simply discarding some sources in the “didn’t get picked for kickball” pile.
Homework
1) Now, students should begin to write the annotated bib. Each student will be writing 2
3 annotations.
Computer/Lecture Lesson Plan
12.3 1) Introduction of example annotated bibliographies/sample annotations (1015) minutes.

depend on your particular schedule setup, where your students are @, the weather, etc.
(2030 minutes)
Homework

ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY RUBRIC.
