Q=Cd * A * (2 ∆P/d) ^0.5 or

∆P=(d/2) * (Q/(Cd * A)) ^2

where ∆P=pressure difference across opening, Pa

and Q=air ow rate, m3/s

and Cd=discharge coef cient for opening, dimensionless (0.6)

and A=cross-sectional area of opening, m2

and d = density of air, kg/m3 (about1.2 kg/m3)

for example:

Q =0.6 * assume =0.1 * (2 *50 /1.2) ^0.5 =0.548 m3/s

El movimiento de aire se genera de la zona de más presión hacia las zonas de menos presión. Cuanto mayor es esta diferencia,
mayor es el caudal movido. La diferencia de presión puede cuanti carse de la siguiente manera:

ΔPw = 0,5 · (Cp1 – Cp1) · ρ0 · U2

Air ow through a large intentional opening is based on the Bernouli equation with steady, incompressible ow. General form
that includes stack, wind and mechanical ventilation pressures across the opening is

where

Q = air ow rate (offset or differential air ow), m3/s

C = discharge coef cient for opening, dimensionless

A = area of opening (leakage), m2

dP = pressure difference across opening, Pa

Note: standard air density is used in the above formula.

A room's differential pressurization value with respect to an adjacent area is totally dependent upon the room's differential
air ow and its leakage area. The +ve or -ve pressurization relationship between spaces establishes the potential for directional
air ow. Therefore, there must be an opening (typically clearance openings or gaps around doors, and unintentional construction
gaps) between the spaces for air ow to actually occur. The desired pressure relationship between rooms or spaces is created
and maintained by a properly designed and controlled ventilation system to achieve a speci c air ow offset as determined. For
example, to maintain a room at a -ve pressure with respect to the adjacent space, the required air ow offset will cause air from
the adjacent space to ow into the room through the de ned leakage area.

its simple !

through gas equation pv=nRT and density=mass/volume
