CIRCULAR
Sub.: Course Registration – Winter 2010‐11 Semester
As announced in the Academic Calendar for the Winter 2010‐11 semester, the FFCS Course
Registration will commence on 15th November 2010 (Monday) at 9.00 a.m. and will be closed by
5.00 p.m. of 30th December 2010 (Thursday). Students belonging to the following Programmes are
requested to register their courses online using the link made available in the Intranet.
• M.Tech. programmes ‐ First year students
• B.Tech. programmes – FFCS students
• MS(SE) ‐ FFCS students
• M.Sc. (Biotechnology) ‐ Five year Integrated programme
• M.Sc., MCA, BCA, B.Sc., B.Com. programmes – First year students
New Winter semester login password (multi use) can be collected from the Programme Manager
concerned on 11th November 2010 (Thursday). Registration by proxy is not permitted.
It is strongly recommended that students should familiarize with their Curriculum and take advice
from their Faculty Advisor. Since hundreds of courses are available for Registration, students are
advised to be careful while registering into courses and ensure that the Course Code, Course Title
and LTPC of the course being registered are matching to the courses listed in their Curriculum.
Students are eligible to take one or two University Electives (UE) as per their Curriculum. UEs are
valid B.Tech. courses offered by any other Programme to their students, but, not a course appearing
under his/her Curriculum. MS(SE) and M.Sc. students are also permitted to take B.Tech. level
courses as their UEs. Apart this, exclusive courses under UE are also offered to students by SSL and
SAS.
Academic course load adjustment is possible through the Add/ Drop option. Students can Add/ Drop
registered courses from 3rd January 2011 to 7th January 2011. Add/ Drop link made available through
the Intranet/ Spotlight will be removed at 5.00 p.m. on 7th January 2011. Course Withdrawal is
available between 28th February 2011 and 11th March 2011.
Programme Managers and Faculty Advisors are requested to extend their maximum help during this
period when students approach them for doubts on Curriculum, Courses, LTPC, pre‐requisites,
Minor/Honours courses, etc.
