It accounted for about 13.6% of the Dagupan City's population. It is also one of

Bonuan Gueset was named in honor of Leopoldo "Bonz" Natividad. Leopoldo

"Bonz" Natividad is the founder of Bonuan Gueset. The Natividad family
maintains influence in Bonuan Gueset way back from the early 1930s. The family
traces its roots to 1920, when Leopoldo assassinated Bonuan Boquig's padrone,
Don Bartolo Maramba, and took over Maramba's territory along with fellow
hoodlums Felipe Aquino and Lario Ubando. Shortly afterward, he founded the
Natividad's Vegetable Oil Company as a front for his criminal activities. Around
1925, Leopoldo formally organized the family, with Felipe as his adviser and Lario
as underboss. They became the most powerful crime family in Bonuan Gueset after
defeating Apolonio de Venencia, a friend and ally of the late Don Bartolo
Maramba, during the Vegetable Oil War in the early 1930s. It was during this time
that Leopoldo's two sons, Ferdinand "Nanding" Natividad and Ariel Natividad,
made their reputation and eventually became a chain of commands, themselves.
The family were instrumental in establishing the Barangay Bonuan Gueset in 1934
with the help of the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Philippines that
time, Eugenio Perez. Bonuan Gueset became a Barangay by a virtue Republic Act
No. 171, authored by Speaker Perez. It was signed into law by President Sergio
