Requirements for an Overload Exception

1.Consult the applicable chart below to determine the GPA and the Metro credit hours requirements for your overload. If
you meet the minimum requirements and if the number of hours of your overload request indicate that online
registration should be used, then IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO OBTAIN FURTHER APPROVAL. Overload class enrollment
requests may be completed at any time, but if approved you will not be registered until the first day of the semester.

2.Approval of the Student's overload request DOES NOT guarantee that you will be enrolled I the class(es). If class(es) are
full at the time of the enrollment attempt, the overload will not be processed.

3.If registration for your overload course(s) occurs before payment deadline, you will be responsible for payment of your
account balance and any incurred service charges. Registration after payment deadline will result in a service charge
on your account if payment is not received by the 7th working day of the month. Service charges will not be assessed
on authorized financial aid students.
