· 1549 Starting of the excavation for the ground — the bases of the northwest corner—.

· 1552 The two lower arches are completed.


· 1556 The two arches of the northeast corner were completed.
· 1558 Southwest corner.

· 1561 The lower order of the northern and western sides was completed.
· 1564 The pertinent works for the superior order began.

· 1580 Palladio's death.


· 1584 The work will return to the activity under the direction of Giovanni Antonio Grazioli.

· 1597 The superior orders of the northern and western sides are completed.

· Original term for 'palladian / venetian window'.


· It's an archway or window with 3 openings:
- the central one arched and wider than
- the flanking openings: enclosed at the top by an architrave and rectangular.
· Palladio's hallmark
· The diameter of the arches in the Serlias remained constant.
· The width of the lateral lintel intercolumnios varied in each section - ELASTICITY
· Lightened the mass of the pillars

· The frame lodges is attached firmly to the inner walls with an edge
vault in brick.
· Solid roundness of the shafts that cover the important corner
pillars.

• Hides the anomaly of the vertices out of square


• Reinforces such critical points of the structure whose
weakness had been the cause of the collapse of the
lodges of Formenton
