Although it is widely believed that economic status is strongly correlated to the academic
achievement of students, the researchers grow curious as to why it has a direct impact to students’
performance in school and how it affects them physically or mentally and whether it affects them
positively or negatively.
We all know that the Philippines is believed to be a country that has high rates of poverty due to
lack of work force but despite the fact that Philippines exhibit poverty, many institutions still produce
grade A students. The researchers are here to find out whether economic status has a relationship to
educational achievement in school.
This research helps to determine how poverty may have an impact to students’ ability to achieve
and for us to know whether it affects them positively or negatively.
C. Hypothesis
We believe that poverty does not hinder a students’ capability to achieve and that it has a causal
relationship to school works.
This study focuses on the relationship between educational achievement and economic status
among Asian College Senior High School students. The data collection will be conducted to the Senior
High School students of Asian College school year 2019-2020 who will represent the population. This
study will not cover other problems that are not consider as one of the Relationship between educational
achievement and economic status. The other students which do not fall as part of Senior High School
students are not within the scope of this research. This study would be done through the utilization of
questionnaire to the students as a survey and reference. By their strategy the researchers will be able to
know the relationship between educational achievement and economic status among Asian College Senior
High School students.
