STUDENT-LED WATCHING AND HAZARD MAPPING


Angilan National High School conducted a Student-Led Watching and Hazard Mapping
on May 2019 in line with DepEd Order No. 23, s. 2015 which aims to instruct all public schools
to identify and address hazard risks and vulnerabilities of students inside and outside the school
campus and in order to strengthen disaster prevention, mitigation, and preparedness advocacy of
promoting a safe learning environment for students.

The hazard mapping was conducted by Angilan NHS’SWT composed of the SSG
officers and spearheaded by the school DRR coordinator. Rooms and buildings within the
vicinity were checked with the aid of the school watching checklist of different school hazards
stipulated in the memorandum.
