MANAGEMENT
Stakeholders’ relationship management and its influence on management decision making

Stakeholders are known to have the capability of playing on one of the most fundamental

roles in nearly all the organizations. At some point, they are the ones who determine the way a

given organization is capable of performing within the market platform. In this current century,

the role of stakeholders has been recognized by various personalities as a result of a wide range

of positive results that they have been able to show across various organizations that are known

to be situated in different parts of the world (Čierna, Sujová&Ťavodová, 2016). Additionally, a

wide range of organizations have been able to attain their future goals and objectives within the

stipulated time frame as a result of then having one of the most reliable stakeholders who have

been able to provide proper guidelines on what should be done in order to come up with one of

the most competitive advantages that are capable of providing them with one of the best

opportunities to scale up to greater levels (Attar, Gilaninia&Homayounfar, 2016).

Coming up with one of the most effective management relationships with a wide range of

stakeholders plays one of the most essential roles when it comes to resolving a wide range of

issues most so the ones that are known to be facing the organization. By adequately

implementing their influence, all stakeholders tend to hold the key to the entire environment in

which a particular organization operates together with its subsequent financial and even its

operating performance. As a result of this, the effective management of a wide range of

stakeholder relationship should appear to be one of the most essential focuses that is associated

with public relations together with all the activities that are known to be taking place within the

entire organization.

Stakeholder relationship management is known to have a wide range of influence when it

comes to decision making. This clearly indicates that any given organization that aims towards
3
MANAGEMENT
adopting this kind of relationship is likely to change its strategies in terms of how it used to

obtain a specific set of objectives at the initial stage (Mattisson, 2016). Thee influence that is

likely to be brought on board by stakeholder relationship management is something that fully

depends on the condition of the entire relationship (Karbasivar&Skandari, 2016). This means

that a stakeholder relationship that is geared towards the positive direction is likely to contribute

towards the emergence of a more positive influence within the boundaries of a particular

organization when it comes to management decision making. At the same time, a negative

stakeholder relationship will automatically lead to the emergence of a negative influence in terms

of coming up with an appropriate and reliable management decision making thus providing on of

the most difficult opportunities for a particular organization or group of individuals to scale up

their performances. Those organizations that have been able to encounter a good stakeholder

relationship have ended up attaining all their future goals and objectives within the stipulated

time frame without encountering any barrier related condition (Adikaram&Jayatilake, 2016).

Poor relationship management and the outcome that resulted from it

Poor relationship management is one of the worst things that can ever happen to a given

organization. Moreover, it is known to have the capability of hindering a particular organization

from attaining some of the future goals and objectives that are fully attached to it. Lack of

adequate and reliable leaders are some of the major factors that are known to be contributing

towards the emergence of poor stakeholder relationship management. The leaders are not well

versed with some of the management skills that need to be implemented in order to attain a

specific set of objectives in a required manner without any further complications being

developed. Mo re over, poor relationship managements known to carry quite a number of

long lasting effects and may even go as far as affecting the entire organization that is known to
4
MANAGEMENT
be experiencing such a situation. Poor relationship management is when the top management

officials of a given organization are not in good relationship terms with either the employees who

form who form part of internal stakeholders attached to a particular organization together with

several other stakeholders who might be found at the external level with the major ones being

customers (Ebrahimi&Talebnia, 2016).One of the major outcomes that are known to be

associated with poor relationship management is that it tries as much as possible to avoid any

form of recognition that is known to be taking place within a particular organization. When

various personalities like the employees neither are nor recognized for their accomplishments

that they have been able to bring to their respective organizations, they will not feel valued thus

making them to loose morale in terms of their performance within their respective work places.

At the same time, poor relationship management is likely to bring fear among various

personalities thus hindering the performance of a wide range of activities taking place within an

organization as a result of fear that will be developed among various personalities due to lack of

an appropriate relationship management that exists between them and several other individuals

within their respective organizations including the top management team. Additionally, poor

relationship management has the capability of creating a negative environment within a

particular work place. When various managers are not capable of developing adequate

relationship management, they create a negative working environment that is likely to lead to the

emergence of more negative outcomes during the operations taking place within those

organizations. When employees suffer from anxiety together with stress as a result of poor

relationship management, they are likely not to carry out their duties according to what is

expected of them thus pulling down the performance of their respective organizations within the

market platform by making it quite difficult to obtain all the future goals and objectives within
5
MANAGEMENT
the stipulated time frame. It is therefore clear that poor relationship management has gone some

of the worst effects that can even end up ruining the reputation of a particular organization.

Four step approach to stakeholder relationship management

Coming up with one of the most adequate and reliable approaches to stakeholder

relationship management appears to be one of the most essential techniques that are geared

towards addressing a wide range of information within a particular organization (Prasad, 2016).

Moreover, the four step approach to stakeholder relationship management is known to be

consisting of a wide range of information that are capable of providing appropriate and reliable

guidance to a given organization thus leading it to a more reasonable path that is attached to all

its future goals and objectives (Aslam, Ilyas, Imran & Rahman, 2016).Various organizations are

capable of prospering when they are capable of clearly identifying and effectively engaging with

all their respective stakeholders. Depending on which industry a particular individual works in,

stakeholder relationships are capable of adequately delivering more customers, coming up with

better formulated policies and much more. As a result of this, there are four major steps that are

known to be attached to stakeholder relationship management across various organizations that

are known to be performing different tasks in a wide range of market platforms. The four step

approach to stakeholder relationship management majorly includes the following;

 Identification of the stakeholders- One of the first and major steps in the approach of

stakeholder relationship management searching a wide range of individuals together with

third party organizations that may be relevant as much as possible in carrying out some of

the required tasks. This step requires the identification of some of the most relevant

stakeholders who are well versed with what it means by implementing adequate and
6
MANAGEMENT
positive relationship between them and the organization that they will be attached to.

Through this approach, a wide variety of stakeholder relationship management will have

been adequately addressed according to the interests of a particular organization. This

step clearly brings on board what needs to be communicated to and also some of the

things that needs to be influenced in order to obtain a specific goal.

 Provision of a reliable definition of the current level of support and influence- Once all

the stakeholders have been listed in the first step, there is the need to fully consider two

different aspects (Prasad, 2016). These aspects majorly include; their support level for the

entire project together with the level of their influence. Moreover, the level of influence

may at sometimes range from critical, through to various conditions of being

inconsequential. This clearly indicates that ranging from it is capable of bringing on

board a massive difference. Coming up with an adequate and reliable definition of the

current level of support together with the influence that is required in order to attain a

specific set of objectives, different issues related to stakeholder relationship management

will be adequately addressed across various personalities by making them to develop a

clear understanding pertaining what is taking place (Namazi, 2016).

 Consider the significance of the stakeholders’ stake- Legitimacy is a condition that can

be easily determined by whether a particular group of stakeholders have some form of

moral or even presumed claimed that are known to have the capability of influencing the

behaviors of the entire organization. Once the claims that are brought on board the

highlighted stakeholders are appropriately considered to be of much importance, the

stakeholder relationship management between the chosen stakeholders and a particular

organization will be appropriately addressed without any barrier related situation being
7
MANAGEMENT
encountered thus taking the whole organization to greater heights in terms of offering on

of the most adequate and reliable competitive advantages (Cao & Zhang, 2016).
 Evaluations of the available opportunities- The fourth approach is to clearly come on

board and be able to offer a perfect evaluation of some of the available opportunities and

challenges that are presented to the organization by the stakeholders who were chosen at

the initial stage. According to the information provided by Carroll, both the opportunities

and challenges are two major parameters that are likely to be viewed as the potential for

cooperation together with the potential for quite a number of threat related situations

(Ullah& Agarwal, 2016). By adequately considering some of the opportunities that are

presented by the stakeholders, the stakeholder relationship management that is attached to

a given organization is likely to go towards the positive direction thereby bringing on

board a wide range of positive benefits (Lim & Kim, 2016).

Good stakeholder relationship management

Good stakeholder relationship management appears to be one of the most adequate and essential

parameters geared towards bringing on board a wide range of positive developments within any

given organization. For a good stakeholder relationship management to take place, the top

management officials must be ready to implement some of the best strategies that are capable of

taking them to the next level without any complaints being encountered. Moreover, the

implementation of a good stakeholder relationship management will involve more than one party

and what is more interesting is that all the parties must be willing to move together towards one

direction thus making it much easier to attain all the recommended goals and objectives at a

faster rate. Aforementioned, stakeholders can be termed as a particular group of individuals

together with several other types of entities that are known to be affected by the operation for a
8
MANAGEMENT
given type of business. Therefore, conditions associated with fair treatment together with core

relationships with all the relevant stakeholders is one of the major parameters that contributes

towards a long term success of a given organization (Rehman&Kifor, 2016). Apple organization

appears to be one of the most reputable companies that have been looking forward to implement

various aspects that are known to be related to good stakeholder relationship management. It has

been working hard to implement a wide variety of strategies that are associated with it. This has

enabled the entire organization to clearly come on board and be able to gain popularity across

various personalities and boundaries that are known to be situated in different parts of the world

(Rana, Rastogi& Garg, 2016).

General external environment

The general external environment that is attached to Apple Company is known to constitute of a

wide range of issues and parameters that exists in this modern century. At the same time, the

entire organization is working hard to ensure that various personalities known to be existing

within the external environment are capable of attaining one of the best survives so far in order

to meet all their needs without raising even a single complaint (Jang, 2016). At the same time,

the general external environment is known to be having a wide range of stakeholders within it

who are capable of performing various roles. Customers and the surrounding community are

known to be forming a better part of stakeholders who are capable of operating from the external

part of the organization (Magdy&Elsayed, 2016). For any Company that is much into being

customer centric, there is no stakeholder relationship that appears to be more critical than the one

that exists between the entire business and the customers who are located at the external part.

The organization has been looking forward to treat all its customers fairly without subjecting

them to any conditions that are related to discrimination on the basis of age, gender, background
9
MANAGEMENT
or even skin color. At the same time, in order to maintain a good stakeholder relationship

management, the entire top management team of the organization has been able to implement

various aspects of honesty in all types of promotions together with carrying out a follow through

on all the products and services to their respective customers who also act as their major

stakeholders that are known to be existing within the external boundaries of the whole

organization.

The specific external environment for the organization

The specific external environment is known to be constituting of specific operations together

with together with a specific set of external stakeholders whose major aim is to carry out certain

objectives that will be able to take the entire organization to the required level through the

provision of adequate and appropriate recommendations that can be easily understood by

everyone. One of the majorly stakeholders known to be existing within the specific external

environment is the government. It is made up of a variety of local, state together with several

other federal bodies whose mandate is only to work on specific duties within a specific kind of

environment (Jain, 2016). One of the major functions attached to this group of stakeholders is to

come up with a specific set of rules and regulations in relation to the taxes that are being paid by

the organization thus determining the type of specific decisions that are required by the

organization for it to maintain its performance at all levels. Another group of stakeholders known

to be existing within the specific external environment are the partners. These are organizations

or individuals who have partnered with the entire company for a specific purpose that is related

to its performance within the market platform in relation to all the products and services that it is

capable of supplying to all the customers who are known to be situated in different parts of the

world (Vivek, 2016).

MANAGEMENT
How the mutiadvocacy approach to stakeholder relationship management would assist

various mangers in decision making

The multi advocacy approach to stakeholder relationship management is one of the most

fundamental parameters that are capable of providing an appropriate guideline to various

mangers when it comes to the making of a wide range of decisions. Moreover, this approach

adequately guides a given organization towards the right path that it should be taking thus

making it to work hard in the direction of its future goals and objectives (Wudhikarn, 2016). As

far as the multi advocacy approach is concerned, various managers are capable of obtaining a

wide range of positive outcome from this mode of approach thus making it much easier for them

to appropriate address various issues with an intention pf obtaining success within the entire

organization. The multi advocacy approach to stakeholder relationship management would assist

various mangers in decision making by providing them with a suitable environment for them to

analyze various situations that are likely to lead them towards making appropriate and reliable

decisions that are capable of coming up with a wide range of positive benefits (Randhawa,

Wilden&Hohberger, 2016). Moreover, the advocacy is capable of bringing on board quite aa

number of ethical considerations that are geared towards coming up with appropriate boundaries

thus providing the managers with one of the best opportunities to distinguish between various

decisions that are more essential in terms of bringing development to the entire organization

together with the decisions that are of no importance (Toytok, 2016). By doing this, they will be

able to know the right path that they are taking in terms of implementing various aspects of

development through adequate and reliable decision making processes that they are capable of

implementing. Moreover, the multi advocacy approach has the capability of bringing on board a

more diverse platform that enables the managers to experience a wide range of choices when it
11
MANAGEMENT
comes to making decisions regarding various issues that are known to be taking place within

their organizations. Through this, they will be able to weigh some of the most essential decisions

that requires a faster response in order to attain a specific objective that is related to their

respective organizations. Finally, the approach is capable of making the managers to develop

some conditions of ethical considerations when making a wide variety of decisions thus making

sure that each and every issue is appropriately addressed and implemented without crossing the

boundary of any individual (Singh, Bhatti, Kaur & Dubey, 2016). Appropriate and reliable

development of the multi advocacy approach will be able to take a given organization to greater

heights thus giving it an added advantage to develop a stiff competition within the market

platform since it will be able to provide a perfect room for the top management team to be come

up with a wide range of positive decisions geared towards operating the entire organization in an

adequate and reliable manner. Those organizations that have been able to develop this kind of

approach have ended up emerging as a success thus setting a good example to the remaining

ones that haven’t reached that level

Technical part

Influence of positive stakeholder relationship management within an organization

The above data shows how positive stakeholder relationship management is capable of

bringing on board a positive kind of influence when appropriately implemented within an

organization. When an organization adequately implements various aspects that are associated

with positive stakeholder relationship in most of its operations, it is likely to experience a gradual

change as time goes thus making it to totally change its tactics and techniques regarding the way

various issues are being handled within its boundaries. In the first year, the organization is likely

to scale up its operations up to a total of 50% due to various aspects of stakeholders’ relationship

management, the management team will be able to come up with appropriate and reliable

decisions that aims towards guiding the organization towards the required direction. By the
13
MANAGEMENT
second year, any organization that has put much focus on the stakeholder relationship

management is capable of scaling up its operations to a higher level of about 70% thus making it

much easier to address a wide variety of issues that might be affecting the performance of that

organization. This can be done by coming up with various forms of positive outcomes that are

capable of emerging from the adequate and reasonable decision making processes that likely to

be addressed by the top management team. Moreover, by the end of the third year the

performance is likely to up again by a total percentage of approximately 85% thus making sure

that the relationship that exists between all the relevant stakeholders together with together with

a particular organization is appropriately implemented with an intention of coming up with a

wide variety of the required goals within the stipulated timer frame. Finally, by the end of the

fourth year any given organization that is concerned with implementing various aspects of

stakeholder relationship management shall have obtained a wide range of objectives within that

sector thus providing an easy time for all the stake holders to carry out their operations without

any difficulties being experienced on board (Riaz, Shahab, Bibi & Zeb, 2016)
14
MANAGEMENT
Support of stakeholders’relationship management

Don’t know; 5%; 5.00%

No; 15%; 15.00%

yes ; 80%; 80.00%

As far as this research is concerned, there are various organizations that are known to be fully

supporting the implementation of stakeholder relationship management. A total of 80% of

various organizations are capable of doing that simply because they are able to recognize some

of the benefits that are likely to emerge as a result of implementing adequate and reliable
15
MANAGEMENT
stakeholder relationship management within their boundaries. A good number of these

organizations have been able to develop quite a number of leadership management skills over the

past thus giving them an easy time to properly address the stakeholder relationship management

techniques to ensure that a wide range of positive influence are attained as fast as possible. On

the other hand, 15% of other organizations were not able to fully support the implementation of

this strategy within their boundaries. Perhaps this is because they don’t have a vast range of ideas

pertaining what it entails together with some of the benefits that it is likely to bring on board

when implemented in an adequate and reliable manner. These are the organizations that have not

been able to recognize the importance of involving stakeholders during their operations but

instead, they have put much focus in carrying out their operations through the use of other

techniques that are of no importance at all. The organizations that are not capable of supporting

the stakeholders’ relationship management tend not to have a clear meaning of what this entails

thus making them to develop a negative perception even without making any inquiries. At the

same time, there is a small percentage of organizations that totally don’t have any idea regarding

the stakeholder relationship management and the influence that it is likely to bring on board in

terms of their decision making. The 5% of the organizations are experiencing this kind of

situation since there has been inadequate awareness regarding what is entailed within the

stakeholder relationship management together with some of the influence that are likely to

emerge from it as far as decision making conditions are concerned. For an organization to fully

support various aspects that are known to be related to stakeholder relationship management, the

top management officials of that organization needs to clearly come on board with a clearly

meaning of what it entails thus making it much easier to describe the direction that a given

organization is planning to move towards in order to acquire various goals that are attached to
16
MANAGEMENT
development. Moreover, stakeholder relationship management is a condition that require the

implementation of a wide range of ethical considerations that needs that is capable of bringing on

board on of the most reasonable boundaries regarding some of the practices that should be done

together with the ones should be totally avoided in order for an organization to remain positive

within the path of success.

The influence of stakeholder relationship management in decision making

As far as the above data is concerned, the influence of stakeholder relationship management

depends of the direction that a given organization has decided to take towards addressing the

whole issue. An approximation of 90% of its positive influence is likely to emerge within a given

organization therefore providing one of the best opportunities for that organization to adequately
17
MANAGEMENT
address the relationship that exists between all its boundaries together with a wide variety of

stakeholders who are known to be existing both at the internal part of the organization together

with the external environment. This positive influence will enable a particular organization to

come together with a wide range of prefer stakeholders with an intention of sharing various

issues that are more essential to the scaling up of the whole organization thereby arriving at the

right decision making results. Moreover, the positive influence will clearly enable all the

stakeholders to have a clear understanding of what is taking place within the whole organization

thus making it much easier for them to predict some of the outcomes that are related to the future

goals and objectives of that very organization. At the same time, there is a negative influence of

decision making that is likely to come on board as a result of as a result of the stakeholder

relationship management. In as much as this negative influence has a minimum chance of taking

place within a given organization, it might end up being fatal to all the operations attached to a

particular organization thereby ruining its reputation across various boundaries. An

approximation of 10% negative influence of stakeholder relationship management is likely to

take place within a given organization as a result of the poor management skills obtained from

various leaders who might not be able to recognize how essential this parameter is thus making it

much difficult for them to attain all the relevant objectives in an adequate manner without

experiencing various barriers.

There is the need for various personalities to clearly come on board and be able to

address some of the best ways that can always be used to ensure that stakeholder relationship

management is appropriately implemented across various personalities thereby avoiding the

emergence of any controversies that are likely to occur. According to statistics, the total number

of organizations who have been able to implement adequate and reliable stakeholder relationship
18
MANAGEMENT
management has scaled up from 45% to 88% within a period of two years thus clearly indicating

that it has been gaining popularity across various boundaries at a faster rate thereby providing

one of the best opportunities for organizations to move to higher levels in terms of how they

handle their stakeholders.

The support of stakeholder relationship management by mangers

As far as the support of stakeholder relationship management by managers is concerned, an

approximation of 70% of the regional managers are capable of supporting the stakeholder

relationship management since it helps them to carry out a wide range of operations at the

regional level. Additionally, 75% of the mangers found at the national level are also able to
19
MANAGEMENT
support this strategy where most of them have been able to develop a feeling that it is one of the

best strategies that can always help them to develop one of the most reliable competitive

advantages within the national market platform thus making them to carry out a wide range of

operations without developing any complications. What is more interesting is that the

international managers too have been able to recognize the benefits that are likely to emerge

when stakeholder relationship management is implemented within their territories. About 90% of

the managers have been able to fully support this move thus providing them with on one of the

best opportunities to move towards the right direction. Mangers should therefore maintain their

support of stakeholder relationship management to ensure that various personalities are also

capable of implementing it thus leading to some of the desired outcomes within the stipulated

time frame attached to a wide range of organizations depending on their goals and objectives.
