Course Planner

This document is designed to help you plan out your study schedule. It is not essential to have a
study schedule, but students who do have one, normally get higher results than ones that do not. I
highly recommend following the advice in this document.

You should plan to get everything done in this course before your course date. Below I will list
the things that you need to do.

You should also look at the ‘Pre-test Checklist.’ before you test to ensure you have completed
everything.

Everyone will use this document differently; however, below are some of the things you need to
consider when making your study schedule:

1. The date of your test:

How many days/weeks before your test?

Is it flexible i.e. can you change the date?

2. How much time do you have per day to study?

You should aim to be able to study in peace and quiet and totally focus on
what you are doing.

Do you have more time on particular days, such as Saturday and Sunday?

What other commitments do you have?

Are there any commitments that you can stop doing until you do your
IELTS test? This will free up a lot of time.

You should be realistic with this. Be honest with yourself.

3. What is your current English level?

The higher your general level of English, the faster you will be able to
complete this course.

4. What is your learning style?

Course Planner
Can you listen to a lesson and understand everything first time, or do you
need to think about it after and watch the lesson again?

Below is a list of everything you need to do before you are ready to take the IELTS Writing test.
The course is designed to be a complete step-by-step system, so please do not leave anything out.

1. Watch and understand 12 Task 1 videos and 12 Task 2 videos. Each video is
between 25-45 minutes long.

2. Complete 24 PDF exercises. These will take you between 15-60 minutes each,
depending on your learning style. You should complete these after watching
each video.

3. Re-watch any videos you did not completely understand first time.

4. Complete, send and review feedback for 5 essays. I recommend doing these
one at a time. You will normally receive feedback in 24-48 hours.

5. Watch appropriate saved Facebook live lessons in Facebook group.

6. Review essays in essay bank.

7. Practice as much as possible.

8. Ask in the Facebook group if you unsure of anything.

I recommend sitting down with a calendar and filling out all of the days you want to study on
with the things you need to do above. This will help you stay organised and reduce any stress
you have about preparing for the test. This will also give you an idea about how much work you
will have to do each study day.

You can do this with a paper calendar or you can use one of the many apps available online.

The more organised you are now, the easier your preparation will be.
