Praxis Core Exam Analysis

It is extremely important to have a necessary education in order to provide

education in school. Teachers need to be educated in different departments in order to

strive towards reaching their appropriate degree in education so that they can provide that

education. Therefore, teachers need standard achievements on their Praxis exam in an

analytical background, in the interpretation and inspection of edification, and in the

correct conditions and standards for grammar. For example, according to the praxis core

website, acceptable exam results in Nevada for Elementary level students would be “157

for math, 157 for reading, 159 for science, and 155 for social studies”.

Propper arrangements for the construction of preparation involved knowledge of

the exam itself prior to initiating a practice version of the exam. This involved an

adequate amount of research being done on the exam. The specific version of the exam

taken depends on a student’s degree. Once determined, sample problems are excellent

ways to become familiar with exam material. I researched the exam, and I did sample

problems from the exam’s website. Unfortunately, the test scores I received were not

adequate.

My results for the Praxis practice exam were 70% for the “Praxis Core Math

Version 1,” (http://www.ets.org/praxis/nv/requirements) 38% for the “Praxis Core

Reading Version 1,” (http://www.ets.org/praxis/nv/requirements) and 63% for the “Praxis

Core Writing Version 1.” (http://www.ets.org/praxis/nv/requirements) The breakdown

for math was “64% for Number and Quantity, 64% for Algebra and Functions, 81% for

Geometry, and 72% for Statistics and Probability.” (http://www.ets.org/praxis/nv/req

uirements) The breakdown for writing was “15% for Key Ideas and Details, 50% for

Craft, Structure and Language Skills, and 47% for Integration of Knowledge and Ideas.”

(http://www.ets.org/praxis/nv/requirements) The breakdown for writing was “64% for

Language and Research Skills for Writing, and 16% for Text Types, Purposes and

Production.” (http://www.ets.org/praxis/nv/requirements)

Further endeavors to achieve practical standards on the Praxis will involve

“Research exam, become familiar with test questions, determine strategy for success,

develop study plan, study topics, review tips for success, check on accommodations, be

calm and confident on the day of the test.”
