Chapter I: Introduction

The perfect combination of internet and computer is the

greatest gift of technology which has made life easier. It is not

the only fastest mode of providing information but today it is

serving us in various ways. One of the biggest benefits that

internet users enjoy is communication; And its very convenience to

find an answer in any kind of question in just one click. People

living in different parts of the world can communicate with each

other through the internet. Equipped with most modern interactive

tools like emails, chats, SMS, voice SMS, internet provides fastest

and most hassle-free communication. Unlike post offices and

telephone connections, internet is accessible from all corners of

the world and being a 24x7 service, it keeps on providing its

service to people all the time. Without the internet prosperity of

most businesses in today world would have been a great challenge.

Internet connection and computers was already part of our

daily lives. So we badly need it to make our work easier and

faster. Most importantly to those students like us. Internet and

a nice working computer is the only one that we can rely on when

there’s a needs in school projects, assignment, or school stuff.

But in this case Internet connections and computers here in STI

College Naga was sometimes elusive and it’s affected the student.

In times the student is in need of Wi-Fi connection immediately,

they have to go first at the library to be able to access but

because of some reasons poor connection is the result of a over

connected students in to the Wi-Fi of STI Naga, that lead to

unexpected lagging or error to surf. That is why the researchers

have to do this study to solve it and take action for this kind of

issue. Not just like in other places that internet connections

were incredible, unbelievable fast and free and you can always

find one available Wi-Fi anytime and anywhere in Free without a

hassle.

Considering the importance of internet access at STI College Naga,

students may be able to connect as long as they need it because

they have the right to use it by their payments for the connection.

As part of this study, the management have to take action to solve

the poor connection of the school. For recommendations to the

management, have Wi-Fi Internet Connection not just in the Computer

Laboratory or in one corner but also in some other part of the

school. Wherein the students get comfortable to use it even they

are far from the Wi-Fi hotspot.

Today, the increasing number of student in STI College Naga

establishing connection to internet, In view thereof the

researcher decided to conduct a study regarding to the Effects of

Lagging of the Computer to the Students of STI College Naga.

 I. The General Problem

This study will aimed to discuss the reason behind the unnecessary

lagging of internet connection in STI College Naga and how it

affect the user or the student.

According to the researcher, students in STI was sometimes

encountering at some lagging problem which lead them to have some

trouble in some activity that they’re doing.

II. Specific Problem

The researcher sought for an answer for the following question.

*Why does the Internet connection in STI COLLEGE NAGA is so slow

and expensive?

*Why does the Internet connection in STI COLLEGE NAGA is in limited

area only?

III. Overview of the current State of the Technology

Internet connection is one of the most important thing in

everybody’s life now a days. Children, teenager, middle age man,

old man, Female, Male, Gay, or even Lesbian is now all a people of

internet. Internet is now part of our needs, not just wants.

Everyone already depends/rely so much in the internet. Especially

the student of STI Naga, They need a proper Internet access to a

computer for them to access the Student portal for themselves to

be updated to their school activities/works. But because of some

laggings of the computer students is sometimes having a trouble in

making their performance task, that the professor gave.

IV. General objectives

The general objective of the study is to determine the Effects in

every Student in STI Naga in the lagging of Internet Connection an

some computer in STI College Naga.

-To have an accessible internet connection for the students of STI

COLLEGE Naga

-To be able to assess and analyse the impact of smooth internet

access among students

-To identify the reasons of internet usage among students.

In this study, the researchers would like to discuss the

things that can possibly be the solution and to make the STI

council be aware in this problem.

 V. Specific Objectives

Specifically this study aims to:

A.)To have a basic knowledge regarding to the topics

b.) To have a smooth internet connection without

encountering a trouble connecting around STI College Naga.

c.) To know the effects of different factor to the

preference of the students of STI Naga in part of internet

connection.

VI. Scope and Limitation

This study aim to catch the attention of the students of STI

College Naga on how lagging of internet connection and computers

may affects the everyday life of a student. The young people

especially the students nowadays are prone with the use of

different technologies. It is not just the school stuff, internet

is the escape too in this chaotic world. Because sometimes, when

its getting tired in doing our homework and in studying our

lessons we rather surf on the internet to release some stress while

enjoying and learning at the same time.

VII. Hypothesis

The researcher did some question to ask for the student

 for them to know (supposition or proposed explanation

basis what is they can say about the connections on the

internet and computer in STI. And almost 30% of the

student ask it was just fine, and 70% says that they are

troubling in the lagging of internet connection and

computer.

VIII. Assumption

The researcher believes that the student of STI College

Naga deserves a smooth and hassle free computer because

they paying it along with their tuitions.

IX. Significance of the Study

>>Student- it will help the student to broad their

intellectual skill in terms of internet connection.

>>Teacher – this study will help the teachers also to be

aware of the circumstance with regards of the internet

and computer interruptions.

X. Definition of Terms

For the purpose of clarity and coherence in analysing the

data used in the study. The following items are defined

conceptually and operationally.

 Internet.

Lagging.

Computer.

XI. Conceptual Framework

Since the lagging of internet connection and a computer is

a very serious problem now a days, A conceptual paradigm

was formulated as follows:

INPUT data consists of the effects of the unnecessary

lagging of the internet connection and some of the computer

in the computer laboratories in terms of the amount of the

people that are connected in the Wi-Fi.

PROCESS is the gathering of data validation of

questionnaires, Followed by distribution of the survey

questionnaires. After the formation of question, that was

the time that the interview to the respondent must be

taken, then followed by the supplemental tabulations and

analysis of data was done. Interpretation of data must

followed to determine the effects of lagging of internet

 connection and the computers to the student of STI College

Naga.

OUT data discussed the result of the study.

In case of significant diversion from desired result, the

broken line that linked output box to the feedback box

defines the repetition of the previous steps which was the

formation of instrumentation and methodologies used.

However, if the instrumentation and methodologies are

right, the broken line that linked the feedback box and

input box means revision of the variables involved to

achieve the expected results.
