COURSE OUTCOMES:

At the end of the course, the students should be able to:-

1. Weld carbon steel plate of thickness range 6 mm to 9 mm in 2G position

2. Weld carbon steel plate of thickness range 6 mm to 9 mm in vertical up 3G position
3. Weld carbon steel plate of thickness range 6 mm to 9 mm in 4G position

COURSE DESCRIPTION :

This unit identifies the competence required to weld carbon steel plate of thickness range 9 mm in 2G position, Weld carbon steel plate
of thickness range 9 mm in vertical up 3G position, and Weld carbon steel plate of thickness range 6 mm to 9 mm in 4G position by selecting,
preparing and setting the plates using SMAW process and checking the weldment so that the plate is welded according to welding
instruction/procedure and the weldment is free from distortion, surface defect and meet the specified welding standard
