EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

As part of the acceptance testing, these generators and accessories are tested in accordance to standard testing
procedure in order to evaluate its present condition and to establish benchmark for future assessments.

Base on the series of test conducted, all results were found to be satisfactory aside from the significant ipf tip up
results on stator which requires thorough reconditioning on the next planned shutdown.

Comprehensive diagnostic testing is highly recommended to monitor overall condition of the generator and
accessories.

Test Equipment KYURITSU

Reference IEEE 43 – 2013, IEC 60034-27-4

Remarks/Evaluation Measured 1 minute insulation resistance is within acceptable limits.

If the Insulation resistance value is greater than 5000 Megohms, the

Polarization Index would not be meaningful and the PI test need not be
performed.

Remarks/Evaluation Acceptance criteria for industry practice vary, but epoxy mica insulation
system often have an acceptance criteria of 0.5% to 1.0% maximum tip-up.
However, if the unit is free from dust, dirt and other contaminants or
additional system curing can sometimes improve results when the values are
outside the acceptance criteria.

Results are satisfactory

Recommendation Trending of winding ipf and tip-up test is still recommended to monitor the
health of the winding insulation condition.

Unit requires thorough reconditioning on the next planned shutdown.
