SOGIE

If you are going to ask my stand whether or not I agree with the implementation of
the SOGIE bill, I will kindly decline. In this generation and time, why is there a need to
have a special consideration for the members of the LGBTQ? After further research
about the stand of SOGIE equality bill, it is understandable that they yearn for the
discrimination and the insults to stop. The bottom line is, it depends on how the
person treats others, being a homosexual. If a person is homosexual, but decides to
respect others, keeping their pride intact, and follows ‘mind over matter’ is the kind of
LGBTQ member to be less likely to be bashed. In a religious aspect, it is wrong for
homosexual relationships to happen. God only created 2 genders; male and female,
and for both to multiply. It is also stated in their stand that they are hugely supporting
same-sex marriage. Marriage is a sacred and holy, because marriage pertains to the
union of a husband and wife. A lot of homosexual relationships involve the sexual
intercourse of both parties, which is taboo. Same-sex sexual activities are very
common in our time. It is very sad to know this. This organization, formed as a formal
group or not, has already been existing since the ancient times, namely the 1st
century BCE. It has been observed before that even though the homosexuals were
struggling to be accepted by the society, they didn’t flamboyantly show off their
beliefs. There are multiple forms of discrimination, abuse and backlash towards other
issues like race, economic status and other factors, but they didn’t go too far to file a
bill just for people to accept who they are. It is on how you treat others, and maintain
your emotions, personality, and intrapersonal aspects, for people to learn that the
LGBTQ community is a community for the masses to accept, not to despise. On a
personal note, I do not have any problems with others’ feelings of homosexuality,
bisexuality or whatever is the definition of LGBTQ. I know a lot of people, and are
close friends with some reigning from those communities. But you know what
distinguishes them from a lot of the members that we seemingly despise? They have
respect, and they know their place. As long as a person can maintain good
relationships with others, show them respect, know what is right and wrong, and
willingly abstains from sexual interaction with the same sex, that’s already grounds for
me to acknowledge that person with all of my heart.

I totally agree to support the sogie bill because everyone has his or her rights and
feelings. i know they dont mean it to be that way but that's exactly what they feel like
being gay or lesbian. we all know that it is forbidden in the bible but from what we can
see and to observe that they just want the freedom to be happy with who they are. I
know that it is not easy for them to get the life they want to achieve because we
ourselves are hurting them. Let’s just appreciate them for them to have the courage to
show everyone what they want to be. Because no matter who we are in the world, we
must respect one another. But respect depends only on the person who should be
respected. We have to accept them and give them support because that is all they
need so they don't feel pain in theirselves just because they are gays and lesbians.
And i agree because we have the right and the freedom to choose what’s the best for
ourselves not just only for the other people.

SANCHES, SARMIENTO RAPE CASE

Rape, murder— those are my worst hated crimes. I cannot imagine how much
pain both Sarmenta, Gomez and the other victims went through because of the
unjustly wants of Mayor Sanchez and his men. However, even if what he did was so
wrong, I do believe that people can transform in a good way. I do have hopes in
conscience and regrets of a person that will haunt even to that certain person's very
last breath. It solidifies the truth that regrets are way to ruin your inner core as you try
to move forward in life. And God find stealing away His gift of life from a person
abhorrent, very very inhumanly. But then again even God forgave those who killed His
son, then I'd remember that repentance and love from God exists which means Mayor
Sanchez may have changed. He may have asked forgiveness from his victims and
from God, he may have learned the value of life as he grow old behind the cells. If so
then I would strongly agree to let him out, I mean 360 years in prison sounds absurd
and a non-existent freedom until death. Though nobody is perfect and even that
reason doesn’t justify what he did, there is still a huge possibility for a person to
change. In this case, it’s Mayor Sanchez and our group agrees that he could be freed
from prison if and only if he had shown a worth full proof that he has changed.

ENDO CONTRACTUALIZATION

As a future worker in this country, I would highly disagree that ENDO should be
declared as a law in the Philippines. As times passes by, life now is very hard. We
need jobs that could meet with our needs. So approving ENDO as a law would really
be risky and is a big loss of the country. Yes it may solve the unemployment problem
that our country is facing. But it is also unfair for those employees or labourers that is
doing their jobs really good to be terminated just because of a law. In ENDO
employees or labourers are terminated after their 6 months of working in a company
thus after being terminated, employees or labourers are once again hired back thus
creating a cycle. Some employees may receive benefits from ENDO but there are also
some employees who will be aggravated by this law. So for me ENDO should be
studied more so that employees who are working hard for their position will have a fair
benefit that would be received. Some employees are also related to some employers,
so it is really unfair for those who were board passers to be just terminated even
though they didn’t do anything that could harm the company. It’s just really
disrespectful in terms of the Labourers dignity to be just terminated after the five-
months contract. So as per what me and our group have discussed we disagree or
decline to make ENDO a law nationwide.
