Paws&Relax is a typical café house where you can sip a cup of your coffee or eat your
favorite pastry but with a cutest twist. Our café is located in Tabayon, Banga, Aklan
Visayas Philippines. The café will serve gourmet coffees, drip coffee, smoothies, teas,
pastries, and other pang meryenda treats. And of course the highlight in our cafe is we
will give you time to bond and cuddle with the cutest paws of our doggos the following
dogs are: 5 Golden Retriever, 2 Chow – Chows, and 3 Pugs over all you will be
jamming with 10 adorable paws. Dog treats will be provided by our staff as well. This
kind of cafe is the first ever in Visayas.

Owned and operated by Meryll Diane T. Rapio who owns the 10 cute dogs that she
dearly loves. She has been planning to put up this kind of business (Café) and if this will
be already establish, this is going to be the first ever animal Café in her hometown and
especially in the entire Visayas.

Start–Up Summary

Paws&Relax Café will have a seating of 25 patrons. The site consists of 500 square
meters of space which consisting of tables for our customers, counter, kitchen plus a
storage area, two restrooms, parking area and the bonding area for our dogs and
customers.

The Paws&Relax Café’s primary offering is gourmet coffees with varieties such as Black
eye, Americano, Cafe Mocha, Cappuccino, Cafe Latte, macchiato, and brewed coffee,
Complementing the coffee will be a smoothie line including strawberry, apple,
pineapple, mango, carrot, avocado, banana, chocolate, vanilla, and mocha, combos of
two flavors are allowed. There are also teas such as Full-Leaf Tea Latte, Chai Tea,
Green Tea Latte, and Milk Tea(we offer hot & cold on this section). We also offer a
simple menu line which includes pastries such as muffins, breads, and cookies. In our
menu there are also, Filipino style spaghetti, Carbonara, fries, and nachos and of
course we included a package wherein you will give you a time to bond with a pack of
our adorable dogs.
Market Analysis

Banga is a landlocked municipality in the coastal province of Aklan. The municipality

has a land area of 84.53 square kilometers or 32.64 square miles which constitutes
4.64% of Aklan's total area. Its population as determined by the 2015 Census was
39,505. This represented 6.87% of the total population of Aklan province, or 0.52% of
the overall population of the Western Visayas region.

Tabayon is one of the 30 barangays in the municipality of Banga, in the province

of Aklan. Our cafe will be located in this barangay wherein the cafe itself will be just
situated a few minutes away from the Banga town proper which is the busiest area in
Banga because there are schools, Banga public market, Church, Town Hall, and plaza
this only means that there are a lot of people roaming around the area and because of
that opportunities and possible customers for our cafe is within our reach. Our target
markets are families, group of friends, couples, or even if you prefer having an alone-
time, you are very much welcome in our cafe.

Executive Summary

Paws&Relax Café will be a one of a kind coffee house / café plus it will be the first ever
animal cafe in the province if it’s established. This is located in Tabayon Banga, Aklan.
The 500 square metres café will be located along the diversion road wherein this area is
also one of the busiest in the place because there are a lot vehicles passing by the
area. We are also near at the town proper which is just a few minutes away. The town
proper consists of thousands of people every single day because this is where the
major establishments are situated such as the Banga public market, several stores,
schools, plaza, and the church. This is truly a good opportunity of catering a lot possible
customers for our cafe.

Paws&Relax Café got its name from what the cafe offers to its customers, tranquillity,
relaxation while sipping a cup of your coffee, tea, or your favorite smoothie plus you’ll
have a chance to play and bond with our adorable paws, our 10 cute dogs that’s why
we named it Paws(like ‘pause’)&Relax Café. Our cafe stands out from its corporate
peers with their fast food concepts and fast services. We offer a much calmer, civilized
gourmet coffee experience. There are no televisions in the café, the background music
is subtle and work from local artists will hang on the walls. The café is well appointed
with overstuffed leather chairs and sofas with a vibrant color, the entire interior of our
cafe is timely, indeed “instgrammable” as they say. We also have an espresso machine
for our gourmet coffees, and of course how could we forget the Wi-Fi connection, all of
these goodies are in our cafe.

The keys to success will be the ability to offer quality gourmet coffees, tea, smoothies,
pastries, and other food menu, also take advantage of its small size, and reliance on an
outstanding barista, kitchen, and cafe staff. In order to achieve these goals, the café will
offer some the area’s finest gourmet beans from local distributors. Because of its small
size, the café can enjoy larger margins in the form of lower overhead. The cafe will hand
select baristas and offer salaries comparable to the chains. In turn the baristas will be
trained to cross-sell, and sell the higher margin products.
