merciful…..”
Dear distinguished audience, all the esteemed members of Manarat Dhaka International
School and College, all the shining juniors of our institutions , all those who tirelessly serve
our school with loyalty and devotion and our invited guests and guardians
“Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu.” I, __________________________ along with my
friend, _______________________________________________welcome you all in our Annual Sports’ meet
2018-19 of Junior Section.

Today we all have gathered here for attending the most awaited, grand and colorful event
and prize giving ceremony of Annual Sports on this day, 29 th January, 2019. I would like to
convey our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful audience for joining and giving us your prized
time. Your presence here this lovely morning is a source of motivation and encouragement
to the entire school and the team who worked relentlessly to make this program possible!

About the sports Day: Our annual sports day is one of our favorite days of the year and a
perfect opportunity to bring everybody together to have fun, exercise, and play a little. We
hope that the events we put on as a whole school provides the opportunity to get to know
one another and build relationships, friendships, and support systems.
We believe in the importance of sport as it develops a sense of friendliness among the
children and builds their team spirit. It helps children to develop mental and physical
toughness and allows them the opportunity to grow. School sports day is also a chance to
enjoy a day in the beautiful weather, but sports day for children especially in primary
section has been proven to enhance mental and physical development as well as social
skills and even improvements in academic performance.
Sports day provides an environment for friendly competition, teaches kids how to cope
with success and failures, how to abide by rules, work as a team, and how to play fair and
respect others – all of which are truly important to childhood development. But we also
like to use the occasion to just let the kids be kids, to play, and have fun together!
We would like to extend our most cordial welcome once again to all. Thank you for joining
us in this eventful morning. Of course, your presence will encourage our enthusiastic
children and hope you will enjoy their performance.

Description of the field: We can see the whole school is bustling with enjoyment and
merriment! The school campus is beautifully decorated with colorful flags. The lawns are
very meticulously done up, white chalk powder lines are installed for different events.

Victory stands are beautifully done up to make the victors feel proud of being there after
the events. A festive spirit is created with a well decorated playground.
(Parents are invited to watch their children participate in the various events and the seating
arrangements for the parents are set in different floors in the girls’ building).
Manarat Dhaka International Scool and College has maintained a field for sports and
entertainment since its inception in 1979. Over the years Manarat has undertaken a series

Description of the four houses: It is for your kind information that we have four
contingents in our junior section sports team.
The tiny contingent members along with their house leaders have taken their positions.
Our first house is Contingent number 1. Hazrat Khadiza (R)
Briefly to introduce Hazrat Kadiza ( R ) we know that She was the first person to accept
Islam and was the wife of Prophet Muhammad (S). She was a very successful and wealthy
business woman who gave up all her wealth for the sake of Islam. She was among the
closest and most loyal supporter of our Blessed Prophet(S).
Next Contingent number 2. Is Hazrat Ayesha (R ) who was the youngest wife of Prophet
Muhammad (S) and the daughter of his closest companion Abu Bakr ( R ). According to the
companions of the blessed Prophet, Ayesha ( R ) is the narrator of most hadith after Abu
Huraira ( R ) and the greatest female teacher.
The third Contingent is Hazrat Fatima ( R ): Yellow House
Fatima ( R ) was the youngest and the most favourite daughter of Prophet Muhammad (S).
She was married to Ali ( R ) ,who was Prophet’s cousin. Fatima was a devoted daughter and
was very close to Prophet (S). She is among the women in Paradise.
The last Contingent is Hazrat Sumaiya R: Purple House
Sumaiya ( R ) was the first Martyr of Islam. She was brutually tortured and killed for
accepting Islam as her faith. May Allah bless her with the highest place in Paradise.
There are many lessons to be learned from the four great woman in Islam who are being

have made for the sake of Allah (SWT) and the religion of Islam.

8. Display
Play Group’s Display (both shifts)
Dear Viewers,
At this stage of the program we like to say again Assalamu Allaikum!
Assalam is an invocation whereby one asks God to grant protection and security to his fellow
Muslim. The meaning of Salaam is harmlessness, safety and protection from evil and from faults.
The name al-Salaam is a name of Allah.
The broader meaning of Assalamu Allaikum is that may Allah shower His blessings of peace and
security over you, may He protect your household, may He protect your faith, may He protect
your children, relatives and friends and may He protect you in the world and in the hereafter.
So it is very apt that we start our first display of the day with the song Assalamu Allaikum. Here
comes the tiny tots of our institution from Play Group. Please join me in welcoming the students
of Playgroup from both shifts.
After:
Masha Allah! We are overwhelmed by the excellent performance of the brilliant youngsters.
There are many lessons for us to learn from this display about peace and unity.

Please put your hands together for this energetic performance by stars of Play Group. The
message in the song is loud and clear.

their display with the renowned inspiring song “We shall overcome someday”.

Our children are the future of our nation. They are innately bold, brilliant, courageous and
brave. They will walk together hand in hand and bring peace and prosperity to our country.

8
They are fearless and confident to overcome the entire barrier and lead a flourishing life in
the world.

Dear audience, please welcome the children of Nursery with a big round of applause.

(After display) :

inspired a positive optimist vibe in our life. Thank you benevolent soldiers for your
wonderful performance!
Display of Nursery (Dayshift)
Dear Viewers,
Now children of Nursery Day Shift are coming forward with their display!
Bangladesh, our beloved motherland is the land of love, affection and simplicity with
superabundance of nature’s beauty. The beauty is depicted so profoundly in every inch of this
magical land that even the fields of golden grains, meadows of fragrant flowers are so fascinating
here. Bangladesh is truly a magical land whose crooning birds awaken us to the morning light.
The Almighty has blessed this land with endless alluring delicacy. It is nature’s darling child. The
soothing serenity of its rivers that glisten, and the distant hazes of its mountains jut the
horizon, its land bursting with the glow of blooms ablaze, and fusing with the sky into an
enchanted place, its fields of grains stir as ripples of waves, played upon by the gentle winds in
their seasonal embrace….all of these are just so mesmerizing. The way the bond that tugs, rivals
for a brother or mother here we all yearn not to separate but to stay forever together in this land
of grace.

Bangladesh is a matchless beauty spot in the world thus the great poet D. L. Roy celebrated his
gratitude towards our glorious mother land with his excellent lyrical harmony.
Dear audience the beautiful song dhono dhanne pushe bhora will be performed here now by
our cheerful tiny darlings of Nursery Day Shift. They are here to declare that,
‘Created from dreams anchored by memories,
nowhere else a place of such luminous glories,
this the Queen of all lands on earth’
Dear audience please put your hands together to give a warm welcome to our delightful
youngsters and get your eyes ready to have a joyful treat from their performance.
(After Display):
We hope you have enjoyed the performance by the little stars! Thank you children for your
brilliant performance!

Display of KG-1 & KG- 2, class 1 class 2 (Morning Shift):

9
Dear Spectators,
Now it is the time to cheer, applaud and inspire a big group of performers from KG 1, KG2,
class 1 and 2, who are coming with their presentation.
Children need to be active everyday to promote their healthy growth and development.
Kids who establish healthy life style patterns at a young age will carry them and their
benefits forward for the rest of their lives. Physical activity promote healthy growth and
development, a better self esteem, stronger brain, bones, muscles and joints, better posture
and balance, better focus,. They learn new skills and social interaction.
There is a very common say, “Health is wealth” and we know fitness is the key to this wealth
which brings happiness and success. The physical exercise is one of the most important
habits anyone needs to inculcate.
Fathoming the fact, Manarat has emphasized enough on physical education. Physical
Activity offers students the opportunity to not only follow a healthy lifestyle but also
develop valuable skills and make them more disciplined.
Now, a fabulous presentation of Physical Drill will be displayed by the young and energetic
athletes of Kg 1 and 2 and Class 1 and 2 morning shift students where their strength,
smartness and positive attitude towards life will be expressed. Please put your hands
together to welcome the beautiful collaborated performance of our little angels with the
motivational song- CHOL CHOL CHOL by Kazi Nazrul Islam.
After the Display:
What a spectacular colorful performance by the sparkling stars! Please give a big round of
applause for our youthful children who hold our future!
Display of KG-1 and KG-2 Dayshift
Dear Audience,
Now, the students of Kg-1 and Kg-2, Dayshift will perform a display to a famous song by
Michael Jackson “Heal the World”.
Nowadays, there are still many wars, hunger happen in this world, there are still many people
live without enough food and water, there are a huge number of people live in wars. Loss of love,
laugh and life are very common this days sadly. We live in a tiny speck in the ocean of the
universe, surrounded by problems- social, environmental, economical- we are all disturbed by
them. Yet, we contribute little or nothing for the ailing world that shelters us. "Heal the world" is
a song about love, care and need. Michael Jackson sings to appeal to people to give their love
and care to the children who are suffering from wars and poverty, making the world a better and
warmer place to live.
“For you and for me and for the entire human race
There are ways to get there,
If you care enough for the living.
Heal the world, make it a better place,

10
Make a little space
For you and for me……… ”
These are not just the lyrics of a famous Michael Jackson song but a call to one and all to save
this world from being reduced to shambles. A message that reaches out to each one of us who is
human enough to perceive the sufferings of his fellowmen.
And now let us have a look on how our youngsters display their appeal to make the world better
through a musical presentation with the song ‘Heal the World’ by Michael Jackson. Dear
Audience, please put your hands together to welcome them with a big round of applause.
(After the Display):
What a spectacular performance by our children! Very well performed and creatively
choreographed, Maa sha Allah. Let us now move on to our next display
Let’s give a huge round of applause to thank the children for their wonderful performance!
Display Class-1 & 2 Day shift:
Allah sends us to our parents to get the best care and love. Our parents send us to our teachers to
get the best lessons of life. It’s them who make us feel confidence to face any adversary, to feel
fearless. Without them we are helpless, unsheltered. Their love makes us feel free like a
Butterfly, colorful like a peacock, beautiful as flowers and shiny like the brightest stars of the
sky. Dear audience now the students of class one and two of day shift are presenting a
performance dedicating to our loving parents and honorable teachers. Please welcome them with
a round of applause.
After: Masha Allah! Such an extraordinary performance by the children of KG-1 and KG-2.

encourage you to also make the most of this wonderful opportunity to showcase best athletic
talent and spirit of comradeship.
Sports events such as this are meant to showcase the collective talent of the youth rather than
only recognizing winners. A winner exists because someone dared to stand up and lose. For a
height there has to be depth. I think the thrill of life is in holding up both.

Sports competitions fill us with enthusiasm which is a vital change in the cycle of routines. It
inspires the participants and spectators both. They build physical stamina and teach us to
take victories and defeats in our stride. Very important lessons of life are woven into these
fights. A loser provides a winner a scale to measure his or her success.)

Dear judges,

here. I will request the judges to start their judgment.

Dear viewers,

This is a very attractive event. Competitors in their strange and colourful outfit and
disposition have attracted the attention of the spectators. This is the most sensational
event. I know there will be a cut-throat competition in this event.

Dress as you like competitions are an integral part of extra-curricular activities in school.
This type of competition helps the children to express their cultural values and
expectations. They can educate their peer group by conveying different social message
through role-playing to the society and the world at large.
It is the most awaited event of the year, as it is always a pleasure to watch the toddlers
dressed up as different characters. It is overwhelming to see our little ones presenting them
confidently.
Dress as you like competitions are a popular activity at school and one of the most exciting
events that children look forward to. They eagerly look forward to it as it allows them to live
their fantasies by dressing up and acting like their favorite characters. The excitement that
builds up in the days leading to the competition is palpable, and increases with each passing
day.
Participating in fancy dress competitions helps children develop confidence as they must
come on field and face the audience and judges.
The main aim of the competition is to bring out the hidden talent of the young ones and
instill confidence in them.
Children of playgroup to class 2 are showcasing their talent by dressing up as
various characters like teacher, Tree, Dancer, Singer, Child Labour, Save Girl Child, etc.
It’s a delight to watch the children. What matters most in such events is not winning or
losing, but participation.)
Please do not come to the field to take photographs of the participants. Photographs
are going to be taken by the office and you can collect it later from the office or
online.

I request our chief guest and Principal Sir to please join us in the field and to have a look on
the colorful participants of dress as you like.

MaSha Allah! We see a lot of participants. We can see that the Manarat field is illuminating
with different types of characters… we can see colorful fairies…our little children are

16
adorned as different characters and people from different walks of life. So many colorful
stars in one spot! Masha Allah! I think judges must have a hard time to choose the winners!
It’s really difficult to decide 1st, 2nd and 3rd when all the competitors are equally outstanding!

I hope you all have enjoyed the colorful show of dress as you like. We will announce the
winners of different classes very soon!

14 Prize distributions
Now we have come to the last and long awaited segment of our sports meet; prize
distribution!

17
Those who have won prizes and those who did not win any prize, we just want you to
remember that “Winners win, winners lose, but winners play”. Winning or losing both
are very natural things to happen. Our life is also just like a game. Sometimes, you win, and
sometimes you lose. Participating in various games and sports develop a feeling of sporting
spirit. In sports you may win or lose. You should learn to accept both victories and defeats
with grace.

We now request all the students to assemble in front of the prize distribution table and all
the assigned teacher and members of Prize distribution committee to arrange the prizes.

Now I request our respected chief guest and principal sir to come down near the prize
distribution area to hand over the prizes to our winners!
