towards breaking the biasness towards women amongst the society.

Although the brand Dabur Vatika is a hair product, the company has positioned and shown that even
being bald is beautiful. Due to the hair fall of cancer patients, it showed how these patients have
always a second thought to travel outside the house. But it promotes that being bald can also be
beautiful and society will accept for who you are as a person and not how beautiful your hair is.

Flipkart celebrates the journey of today’s father with a song ‘Mere papa sab kuch karte hai’, where
actually they have shown that even fathers can cook, comb hairs and run the house as a house-man.
This advertisement breaks the stereotype that only a housewife can run the house. Fathers can
equally do households and run the house.

Abbott Laboratories ad-

The advertisement broadly conveys that you should dream daily and live your life daily no matter
what your age or how the situation is. The Dadi in the ad, cycles as if she is flying and these little
small things can actually lead you to live a happy life. Also, it breaks the stereotype of how older
generation should not do risky jobs.

Gillette Ad-

The advertisement directly conveys and challenges the stereotype of why can’t a woman shave
beard for men. The stereotype that only in a male salon, male barbers should be available is
challenged in this advertisement.

Coca Cola- Deepika Padukone


This advertisement portrays the image of Coca Cola differently, meaning, even strangers can get
friends if they have coca cola with them So coca cola promotes itself as a relationship builder and
provide a meaning to an unknown/ known relationship.

Hindi Medium-

This was a movie where it revolves around the problem in the indian society, where the society
judges you on how well do you speak English and in what society(class) are you a part of. This
movies breaks this stereotype and showed it is important to be knowledgeable and communication
should be important, it doesn’t matter whether it is in hindi or English.

dressed at work. With simple jewels at work also, one can look elegant yet comfortable to work for
the whole day.

Ghadi detergent has portrayed that the image of one’s son and daughter is so different among the
society. It breaks the biasness towards the daughters and breaks the stereotype of how a son is
judged when he helps his wife at home. But, when the same thing a son-in-law does for her
daughter he is portrayed as a gentleman.

Mohey-Alia Bhatt Ad-

The ad breaks the stereotype of how a bride should just be a shy bride. A bride should also enjoy her
wedding day by being herself and not thinking about what society will say.
