 SOCIAL PROSPERITY
• Feeling of One Nation through Single Citizenship.

• Article 370 was discriminatory on the basis of gender,

class, caste and place of origin.

• Many who migrated from Pakistan after partition were not

given the PRS (Permanent Resident Status)- voting rights
etc.

• Fundamental rights under Part 3 of our constitution will

now be applicable.
• Right to Education, a fundamental right was not
applicable in J&K.
• Professors cannot be hired from outside the state except
in extremely low quotas.

• Even though health scheme such as Ayushman Bharat

launch last year in J&K, but lack of quality doctors from
other states of India.
 ECONOMIC PROSPERITY
• Lack of employment opportunities is the root cause of poverty in
J&K.

• Monopoly like situation with respect to businesses. Only few

families gained from it.

• Now more industries and infrastructure could be setup. Before no

industrialists invest here as they cannot own the land for his factory.

• Youngsters with great ideas lack the platform to attract the seed
capital.
CORRUPTION
• Anti- Corruption agencies were not allowed due to Article
370. (CAG)

• RTI (Right To Information) was not implemented.

• In 2017-18 Centre spent ₹8,227 per person in rest of India

whereas in J&K it spent ₹27,258 per person.

• It has received, from 2000-2016, 10% of all Central funds

despite having 1% of the population.

• Jammu and Kashmir offers vast tourism potential in its all

region.

• Due to terrorism and conflicts J&K lags far behind in

term of economic development as compared to other
states.

• Tourism acts as a catalyst in the development of the

backward regions.

• More than 41,000 people have been killed since 1988.

• Now India will be on a much stronger position to deal

with Pakistan, as there will be no special status to J&K.

• Provisions which gave advantages to Pakistan are now

cease to exist.

• Better co-ordination between local police and army.

 COMPETITIVE POLITICS

• Political parties from all over India will now have the
option to contest in J&K.

• More political options will now be available to the

people of J&K.
 CONCLUSION
• Enough lives have already been laid down.

• It is rightly so for the government to finally strike down the Article

370.

• True integration of Jammu and Kashmir with the nation will also
send a clear message of One Nation to our neighbor.

• Total elimination of the terrorist groups hiding in the J&K can be

achieved which will result in development and prosperity of J&K.
