Aims and objectives of Institute

The  Ministry  of  Environmental  Protection of  the  Republic  of  Kazakhstan  is  the  central 
executive body in the field of environmental protection, which is carrying out management and 
coordination  on  questions  of  development  and  realization  of  a  state  policy  in  sphere  of 
environmental protection. 

The primary goal of the Ministry is improvement of quality of environment and achievement of 
a favorable level of ecologically sustainable development society.

RSE “Kazakh Research Institute of Ecology and Climate” is the working body of the Ministry of 
Environmental  Protection  to  coordinate  and  implement  the  Kyoto  Protocol  in  the  Republic  of 
Kazakhstan 

The  primary  purpose  of  Kazakh  Research  Institute  of  Ecology  and  Climate  is  the  scientific 
rationale, scientific and methodological support of the formation and implementation of state 
environmental  policy,  environmental  security,  the  development  of environmental  regulations 
and  standards,  improving  environmental  legislation  and  obligations  of  the  Republic  of 
Kazakhstan on international conventions on environmental protection and climate change.

regions of Europe and Asia and the Pacific.

‰ “Zhassyl Damu” (Green Growth)  program for 2010‐2014
‰ Comprehensive  solution  of  environmental  problems:  GHG 
emissions,  air  pollution,  ecological  catastrophes,  specially 
protected  areas,  production  and  consumption  wastes,  water 
resources, biological diversity, planting
‰ Staged  rehabilitation  of  hydrometereological  service 
with  formation  of  new  environmental  monitoring 
model    on  the  level  of  the  world’s  best  practice  has 
started
Land resources management

Conclusion

It is essential to consistently form and define the 
ways of  further development of the humanity 
without conflicts and  destruction of natural basis of 
future economy and life on the Planet
