What's new
The current release of the product includes these enhancements and changes.

Microsoft Windows 10 support

This McAfee DLP Endpoint release supports Microsoft Windows 10 October 2018 Update 32-bit and 64-bit
operating systems.

Resolved issues
The current release of the product resolves these issues. For a list of issues fixed in earlier releases, see the
Release Notes for the specific release.

McAfee DLP extension for McAfee ePO issues

Reference Description
1251115 McAfee DLP rule editor is now correctly displayed when the McAfee ePO URL is added to
the local intranet.
1250616 The Test Connection button now works correctly when testing database repository
definitions.
1251704, 1251294 Generating a bypass or uninstall key with Help Desk no longer generates the Failed to
generate the selected key error message. This issue is the McAfee DLP extension corollary of
1251294.
1247501 Users are now able to access the DLP Permission Sets for Incidents and Cases by the
permissions assigned to them.

McAfee DLP Endpoint issues

Reference Description
1221100 Printer protection rules can now include an exception for image printer Save as PDF (for
Windows Excel files only).
1247090 A screen capture protection rule with a location-based content fingerprinting classification
is enforced even when the user is browsing in the location. Prior to this update the rule
could only be enforced on a file copied from the location. The rule is now enforced by
disabling the preview pane.
1247465 Content fingerprinting classifications are now applied to Microsoft Office files opened
directly from browsers.
1241658 Devices are no longer blocked when there is an exclusion in the rule.
1244144 VCF files (Microsoft Outlook contact files) are now supported for text extraction. The issue
was caused by the files being incorrectly classified as Encrypted_Unsupported.
1253293 Enabling the Internet Explorer Extension in the McAfee DLP Endpoint client no longer
causes a performance issue.
1249394, Notification and justification windows now appear behind the lock screen, not on top of it.
SB10252 Right-click and keyboard shortcuts are now disabled in notifications and justifications.
1255569 The procedure for detecting process names has been enhanced.

Installation information
For information about installing or upgrading McAfee DLP 11.0 Update 6 software, see the McAfee DLP
Endpoint 11.0.500 Installation Guide.
The recommended installation of the client software uses the McAfee ePO infrastructure for deployment to the
endpoints.

You can also deploy McAfee DLP Endpoint client software to your network using third-party enterprise software
deployment tools.

1230439 In the McAfee DLP Endpoint client DLP Endpoint Console | Notifications History, when viewing
notification message entries, the message on view sometimes displays incorrectly (message
window displays blank).
