IV. PROCEDURE
a. REVIEW/ ELICIT Students will be reviewed on their prior knowledge on matter. What
are the examples of matter.
b. MOTIVATION/ Scout in the classroom and record as many names of your
ENGAGE classmates and things around you in 3 minutes.

c. PRESENTATION/ The teacher will give words to the students such as the following:
EXPLORE Matter Elements
Mixture Compounds
Pure Substance Metal
Homogeneous Nonmetal
Heterogeneous Metalloid
Solution Acid
Suspension Base
Colloid Salt
These words will be put in a graphic organizer.
d. Discussion / EXPLAIN The students will explain their output. They will defend their
answers why they put the word in a certain box. They will then
define matter.

e. Finding of Practical The output of the students will be checked. Further elaboration on
