Concerns of CDO on Proposed Solar Project:

1. Power supply guarantee by PV supplier

Answer:
Based from the initial calculations of our proposed suppliers power can
be generated at an average of 4.7 hrs to 4.18 hrs daily based from the
irradiance analysis provided.

2. Warranty of materials based on year of usage (25 years)

Answer:
The usual warranty on solar components are for the PV panels
(10 yrs.), mounting structures (10 yrs.) & Inverters (5 yrs.)

3. Maintenance might be beyond our technical capability

Answer:
Maintenance of the systems is not complicated, it is primarily cleaning
of the PV panels, etc.
Maintenance of PV system requires minimal maintenance which
SBDMC personnel are capable.

Periodic checks that can be carried out by SBDMC personnel are as

follows:

 Verification and cleaning the presence of dust, bird droppings or

other debris that is on the photovoltaic panels to maintain good
efficiency of PV system.
 Verification of mechanical parts (brackets, screws, etc.)
 Checking seals of the lids of boxes and cable entries
 Checking any damaged cables.
4. Other option:

Answer:
When a Locators consumption is 200 KW or more then some solar
companies could offer the PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) scheme.
The Solar supplier will install the PV panels on your roof, in return you
will enjoy a lesser power rate, usually ranges from PHP 5.58 to 5.25
per KWhr for 25 yrs term.
