Part 1.1 Course Description

A basic course on the law of persons and the family which first views the effect and application of laws, to examine the legal norms
affecting civil personality, marriage, property relations between husband and wife, legal separation, the matrimonial regimes of absolute
community, conjugal partnership of gains, and complete separation of property; paternity and filiation, adaption, guardianship, support,
parental authority, surnames, absence and emancipation, including the rules of procedure relative to the foregoing. (Based on LEB
Memorandum Order No. I, Series of 2011).

VII. Course Policies

1. Regular attendance is required for all students; A student who incurs absences totaling 20% of the total contact hours or required number of hours
for the subject will be given a grade of 5 (FA or Failed Due to Absences) from the course as provided in LEB Memorandum Order No. I, S 2011.
2. Wearing of the University students’ ID and uniform at all times is required for all the students except when having field activities.

3. Active participation individually or in group is expected.
4. Fifteen (15) minutes of tardiness is equivalent to one (1) period of absence.
5. Student shall abide the instructor/professor’s policy on the submission of learning outputs based on the metrics and deadlines given.
6. The professor may conduct an emergency class or remedial classes if and only when the need arises due to class disturbances.
7. All policies and guidelines stipulated in the LSPU Student handbook should be observed as part of classroom management and policies.
