Recruitment of outstanding/meritorious sportspersons

Food Corporation of India (hereinafter termed Corporation), one of the largest

Central Public Sector Undertakings, dealing with Food grain supply chain Management,
intends to recruit outstanding/meritorious sports persons who have distinguished
themselves in sports at State/National/International level in the following posts:

Applications are invited from meritorious sportspersons for the disciplines indicated below:

The eligibility criteria for appointment are as under:-

2. Educational Qualification:

Assistant Grade-III Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized
University with proficiency in use of computers

The Corporation may, at its discretion, relax qualification and age in

appropriate cases in accordance with the rules.
3. Eligibility: In any of the above disciplines stated in Table’B’, the person, in the year
immediately preceding his application for recruitment in the Corporation should have
represented

i) A University in the Inter University Tournament conducted by the Inter

University Sports Board; and / or

ii) A combined University team in the National and World Universiade International
competition; and / or

iii) A State in the National competition ; and / or

iv) The country in any International competition

Note:
The Certificate for representing a University in the Inter-University or a State in
India in a National or for representing India in an International competition in
one of the recognized Games/Sports will be valid only when signed personally by
the Dean/Director or the officer overall in-charge of sports in the university or the
Secretary of the State Association or the Secretary, National Federation/National
Association respectively.

4. Employees of the Central/State Govt./Public Enterprises should forward their

applications through proper channel to reach the Corporation before the last date
notified below.

5. Mere submission of an application and fulfilling the eligibility criteria would give no
right to any person for selection.

6. All appointments will be subject to the Rules and Regulations of the

Corporation and/or directives of Govt. of India, en force from time to time.

7. The above mentioned posts carry IDA pattern pay scale and usual allowances
such as, DA, HRA, etc. Other benefits like CPF, Gratuity, Leave Travel
Concessions, Leave Encashment, Medical Reimbursement, Conveyance
Reimbursement etc. shall be applicable as per the rules of Corporation as
amended from time to time. Gross emoluments would vary depending upon
place of posting.

8. The Prescribed qualification, eligibility, age limit etc. shall be reckoned as on

1.1.2013.

9.Self attested photocopies of all documents in respect of proof of age, qualification,

Sports achievements experience, etc. should be attached with the application.

10.Any attempt to influence the corporation in any manner would disqualify the
candidature and lead to rejection of his application.

11.No correspondence will be entertained about the outcome of the application.

12. How to Apply :

i. Application shall be neatly typed /filled in the prescribed format in A-4 Size paper.

ii. Attested Xerox copies of all the required documents in support of Age,
qualification, sports achievement, caste etc. are to be attached with
application form.

iii. Applications complete in all respects & duly signed by the applicant be
placed in a sealed envelope.
iv. The envelope shall be super scribed with the words “APPLICATION FOR
RECRUITMENT AGAINST SPORTS QUOTA”.

v. The envelope containing the applications may be sent to :-

vi) The applications should reach at above address by 29.4.2013.

vii) The applications reaching beyond the above mentioned last date will not be
accepted.

viii) The Corporation will not be responsible for postal delay or delay due to any other
reason.

13. The decision of FCI authorities in all matters related to acceptance or

rejection of the application, mode of selection etc. will be final and binding to
candidates.

14. The Corporation reserves the right to accept or reject any or all applications,
without assigning any reason.
