According to DANE statistics from January to September, 4 hotel thefts were reported, a much lower figure compared to last year's statistics.

The theft took place at the Morasurco hotel, an exclusive place in the city of PASTO, known for housing famous people and rich families in the country.

The Morasurco hotel, subject to millionaire theft, has 35 luxury rooms. The character staying in one of these rooms reported on September 28 the disappearance of some jewels. The loot taken by the thieves has a value close to two million dollars, according to sources close to the case.

The National Police maintains an open investigation; according to the hotel sources and the information provided by the national police, no employee noticed the theft, nor were there

any injuries. Clients when they realize the theft immediately informed the hotel manager who calls the police.

The thieves took swag of jewels, diamonds, pearls, emeralds valued at 2 million dollars. As seen in the hotel security cameras, thieves who were disguised as waiters, after carrying out the robbery they leave the hotel from the back and get into a car in which they flee.

From the luxurious hotel establishment, they avoid answering questions to the press. A public relations officer says he is not authorized to talk about clients or robberies. So far no arrests have been made.
