A. Event background

The HIPKABI organization is a forum for gathering nurses with competencies in the
field of surgery and operating rooms that have the same goals, vision and mission in
improving public health standards. The operation of a nurse's operating room must be sterile
based. For this reason, an operating room nurse must have knowledge about things that will
provide additional illness to the patient who is being treated, after leaving the operating
room.

For this reason, the committee will add the theme "Do not award additional
diseases to your patients" in this seminar, which will be followed by a mini workshop on the
introduction of suturing techniques and the proper use of threads to cover the area of
surgery and good external wound closure. This material will be emphasized in the ILO's
(surgical wound infection) handling of postoperative patients. One of the ways to overcome
it is by selecting consumables (BHP) that have a predetermined quality standard. In the
implementation of this seminar, several health products will be introduced, one of which is
surgical thread which later in the field will support the purpose of this seminar.

surgical wounds with the introduction of quality surgical thread products

 Providing good knowledge about suturing techniques and wound closure followed by a
suturing technique workshop

 Introducing consumables (BHP) that have established quality standards

 HIPKABI PD Padang administrators and PD Padang HIPKABI members consisting of nurses

operating the hospital and city clinic Padang, Pariaman City, Padang Pariaman Regency
and Pesisir Selatan Regency

 All operating room nurses in the area of West Sumatra

The nurses who are members of the PD Padang HIPKABI in particular and HIPKABI SUMBAR
generally can understand the handling of surgical wound infections and know good suturing
techniques and can use consumables that meet the operating standards of operating rooms
in accordance with predetermined standards.

F. Concept and description of activities.

HIPKABI PD Padang which covers the work area of Padang city, South Pesisir Regency,
Pariaman City and Padang Pariaman Regency will hold a seminar with the theme " Do not
give additional diseases to your patients", then a good suturing and wound closure
technique will be presented with the introduction of consumables (BHP) quality (surgical
thread) with a predetermined standard. This event will be arranged in the form of material
presentation and giving examples of suturing techniques from resource persons PW HIPKABI
SUMBAR and the introduction of surgical threads (BHP) from the sponsorship media that
have competency on consumables that have standardized quality assurance in accordance
with existing regulations.
