The 2nd LAC Session for academic year

2019-2020 that was carried out on August 14,
2019 focuses on the topic about Testing and
Assessment – Reliability and Validity.

The session’s objectives made the

participants (AP/ESP teachers) well equipped
and oriented on distinguishing the validity and
reliability on test construction. The participants
were also able to learn the methods in
establishing validity and reliability of classroom
assessments.
Additionally, to be able to ensure the
assessment of the learners during the test, it is very
important for the teacher to look for test materials
that will fit his/her class situations.

Futhermore, having a training or seminar

for this particular aspect of teaching, as teachers,
we should be equipped with knowledge and skills
and have understanding of how learning
assessments are structured so we can formulate
assessments that will yield meaningful results.
Thus, relevant learning decisions will be developed.
