The abstract should have applicant's name at the beginning.

The Project abstract should clearly articulate the area of the study and should evidence interest and
insights for the subject chosen.

The Project abstract should formulate a problem for study. This will be used for assessing the
applicant's analytical and research skills.

The word limit is 1000 and it must be in PDF format. No other format is acceptable.

The requirement for a project abstract is for assisting the selection committee in assessing the
research and analytical capability of the applicant. The originality of the abstract is very important.
The abstract will be checked for plagiarism. The project abstract need not necessarily be the topic of
PhD research.

The panel members were from various Institutes involved in the program. They can ask all sorts of
questions, questions from Subjects studied in Undergrad, questions from projects and Internships
and some questions about feasibility of the project proposed. While explaining a project or thesis,
you should know why did you use a particular algorithm or approach. It would be better if you know
about the most recent works and Journals related to your Proposal. You will also be asked to draw
any circuit , curve, write/explain an equation, draw block diagrams. There are insightful questions
too.

In a nutshell, if you are genuinely interested in Research with a at least average theoretical and
practical knowledge, and have paid attention to the why’s of everything you do, you are good to go.
For people appearing for PMRF in future, please revise theory of at least 4–5 subjects and remember
basics of others. Also, be thorough with the Research work you have done.
