Thank you! object to start moving, stop moving, or
can change the direction of motion.
There are many forces on this earth.
Every object on this Earth experience
various forces and that is Friction force
and Gravitational force.
Yes, Robin?
Ma’am, balanced force is several
forces may act upon an object.
Thank you!
(students respond)
E. GENERALIZATION
“Let’s watch a short video about
Balanced and Unbalanced Forces
For you to be able to understand them
more. (plays video)
F. APPLICATION
“Forces on Object at rest”
Materials
Pen Pair of scissors
String Book
Procedure
Situation 1
Hang a pen by a piece of string
Q1. Is the pen at rest or in motion?
Q2. Are there forces acting on the pen? If
yes, draw the forces. You will use arrows
to represent these forces.
Cut the string with a pair of
scissors.
Q3. What happens to the pen? What
could have caused the pens motion?
Situation 2
Place a book on the top of a table
Q4. Is a book at rest or in motion?
Q5. Are there forces acting on the book?
If yes, draw the forces acting on the
book?
Let one member of your group push
the book in one direction and another
member push it in the opposite
direction at the same time with the
same amount of push(force).
Q6. Did the book move? How will you make
the book move?
IV. EVALUATION
Ask students to write their reflections about the lesson, such as what they learned, what caused
them difficulty, or the strategies they found helpful in understanding the lesson. (5 min)
