Skills #1
 With the help of the teacher, the learners will demonstrate in front of the class the
procedures in drafting pattern for ladies blouse following the procedures.

PROCEDURES IN DRAFTING FRONT BODICE FOR LADIES BLOUSE

1. Prepare all tools and materials needed.
2. Using an L-square or meter stick, draw an intersecting lines 3” away from the top
and left side edge of the pattern paper. Label the intersection as point A.
3. From point A to point B is lay-out 3” downward. Square out point B
4. From point A to C is bust height measurement.
5. From point A to D is front figure length measurement. Square out points C and D.
6. From point A to E, measure 3 ¼” horizontally. Connect EB with French curve.
7. From point A to F is ½ of chest measurement.
8. From point A to G is ½ of shoulder width. Square down points F and G.
9. From point D to H , lay-out ½ of the bust distance horizontally. Square up point H
up to line C. This is point I.
10. From point H to J is ½” to the left, point H to K is ½” to the right. Connect points
J to I, then K to I.
11. From point C to L is ¼ of bust circumference.
12. From point D to M is ¼ waistline measurement plus 1”.
13. From point G to N measure 1 ½” downward. Connect EN with a straight line.
14. From point G to O is ½ armhole measurement.
15. Square out point O, then square up/square down point L.
Mark intersection as point P. Shape the armhole from point N to P touching
line F with a french curve. Connect M to P with a straight line.

E. Discussing New ACTIVITY

Concepts and DO IT!
Practicing New Group Activity
Skills #2
The group will be divided into 4 groups. Each group will be given body measurement chart as
shown below. This will be their basis in drafting front pattern for ladies blouse, following the
given/provided procedures.
