Important Instructions:-

1. The UGC’s/ State Govt. qualifications will be applicable for the teaching posts. The detail of
posts with reservation is available at page No.3 and 4 and qualifications are available from page
No.5 to 17.
2. The prescribed application form is available on the University website. The fee of
Rs.600/- (Rs.150/- for SC/BC/EBC/ESM/PWD and Rs.300/- for female candidates) may be
deposited in the University Account No.4674000100036542 of Punjab National Bank, Hisar IFSC
Code No.PUNB 0467400. The requisite form for depositing the fee is available at page No.18.
The candidate is required to mention his/ her name, father’s name, Adhaar No. and name of the
post. If the candidate applies for more than one post, he/ she is required to deposit the fee
separately for each post.
3. The application form duly filled-in alongwith API based Performance Based Appraisal
System(PBAS) UGC proforma (for Associate Professor and Professor) as available at page No.19
to 22 and attested copies of certificates/ testimonials and all other documents in support of API
claimed by the candidate, educational qualifications, research publications and experience etc. for
all the posts mentioned below should reach the office of Deputy Registrar(Faculty) by
05.07.2016 positively. List of publications should include ISSN No., Impact Factor (SSI etc.)
and API score claimed. Incomplete applications and those not on prescribed form or without fee
and supporting documents will be summarily rejected. The candidates must be eligible on the last
date for submission of application form. Those who have already applied in response to
University Advt. No. 1/2012, 1/2013, 1/2014 and 2/2014 for the said posts (where interviews
have not been conducted) need not apply again. However, they may update their bio-data
alongwith requisite supporting documents. The University reserves the right to increase/decrease
the number of posts or it may not fill any of the posts advertised without assigning any reason.
Those who are in service should send their application through proper channel. Benefit of
reservation and concession in application fee is applicable to the candidates from Haryana only.
In case of large number of applications for any post, University may devise a method based on
merit or a written test will be conducted for shortlisting the candidates.
4. SFS stands for Self Financing Scheme. It may be clearly mentioned in the application whether
applied for the posts under ‘SFS’ also.
5. The terms and conditions for the posts under SFS shall be governed by the SFS Rules
framed/ to be framed by the University from time to time. Appointments against such
posts will be co-terminus with the course/ scheme.
6. There will be no age bar for teaching posts. The age of superannuation for the above posts will be
sixty years.

PROFESSOR
A.(i) An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification(s) in the concerned/allied/ relevant
discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with
evidence of published work with a minimum of ten publications in refereed
journals.
(ii) The Ph.D. degree shall be a mandatory qualification for the appointment of
Professors.
(iii) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college, and/or
experience in research at the University/National level institutions/industries,
including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.
(iv) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and
technology – mediated teaching learning process.
(v) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator(API)
based Performance Based Appraisal System(PBAS) set out in the UGC/ State
Govt. notification.
OR
B. An outstanding professional, with established reputation in the relevant field, who
has made significant contributions to the knowledge in the
concerned/allied/relevant discipline, to be substantiated by credentials.

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
(i) Good academic record with a Ph.D degree in the concerned/allied/ relevant
disciplines.
(ii) The Ph.D. degree shall be a mandatory qualification for the appointment of
Associate Professors.
(iii) A Master’s degree with atleast 55% marks(or an equivalent grade in a point scale
wherever grading system is followed).
(iv) A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an
academic/ research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a
University, college or accredited research institutions/ industry excluding the
period of Ph.D. research with evidence of published work and a minimum of five
publications as books and/or research papers in refereed journals only/ policy
papers.
(v) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and
technology – mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided
doctoral candidates and research students.
(vi) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator(API)
based Performance Based Appraisal System(PBAS) set out in the UGC/ State
Govt. notification.
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
(i) National Eligibility Test(NET)/SLET shall be compulsory for appointment at the
entry level of Assistant Professor, subject to the exemptions to the degree of
Ph.D. in respect of those persons obtaining the award through a process of
registration, course-work and external evaluation, as have been laid down by the
UGC through its regulations, and so adopted by the State Government.
Provided however that candidates who are or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in
compliance of the University Gants Commission (minimum standards and
procedure for award of Ph.D. degree), Regulations 2009, shall be exempted from

the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET for


recruitment and appointment as Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in
Universities/ Colleges/ Institutions.
Provided further that, the candidates who have acquired Ph.D. upto 31st May,
2009 shall also be exempted from the recruitment of the minimum eligibility
condition of NET/SLET for recruitment and appointment to the posts of Assistant
Professors or equivalent positions in Universities/ College/ Institutions.
Provided further that those candidates, who have been enrolled for Ph.D. upto 31st
May, 2009 shall become eligible for exemption from the requirement of the
minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET for recruitment and appointment to
the posts of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/ Colleges/
Institutions only on acquisition of Ph.D. degree.
NET shall not be required for such Master’s programmes in disciplines for which
there is no NET.
(ii) The minimum requirements of a good academic record, 55% marks (or an
equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the
master’s level.
(iii) A minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever
grading system is followed) will be required at the Master’s level for those
recruited as teachers at any level from industries and research institutions and at
the entry level of Assistant Professors.
(iv) A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the graduate and master’s level for the
Scheduled Caste/ Differently-abled(Physically and visually differently-abled)
categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record
during direct recruitment to teaching positions. The eligibility marks of 55%
marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is
followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are
permissible, based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark
procedures.
(v) A relaxation of 5% may be provided, from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D.
degree holders, who have obtained their Master’s degree prior to 19 September,
1991.
(vii) Relevant grade which is regarded as equivalent of 55% wherever the grading
system is followed by a recognized university shall also be considered eligible.

(iii) A minimum of ten years experience of teaching/industry/ research/ professional out
of which five years must be at the level of Reader or equivalent excluding the period
spent for obtaining the research degree.

OR
(iv) In the event the candidate is from industry and the profession, the following shall
constitute as essential:-
1. Consistently good academic record with atleast 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in
a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in Master’s Degree in Business
Management/ Administration/ in a relevant management related discipline or
consistently good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in
a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in two years full time PGDM
declared equivalent by AIU/ recognized by the AICTE/ UGC.
OR
First class graduate and professionally qualified Chartered Accountant/ Cost and
works Accountant/ Company Secretary of the concerned statutory body.
2. The candidate should have professional work experience which is significant and can
be recognized at national/ international level as equivalent to Ph.D. and twelve years’
managerial experience in industry/profession of which at least eight years should be
at least at a level comparable to that of Reader/Assistant Professor.
(v) Without prejudice to the above, the following conditions may be considered
desirable:
i) Teaching, research, and/or professional experience in a reputed organization;
ii) Published work, such as research papers, patents filed/ obtained, books and/or
technical reports;
iii) Experience of guiding the project work/ dissertation of PG/ Research Students or
supervising R&D projects in industry;
iv) Demonstrated leadership in planning and organizing academic, research, industrial
and/or professional activities; and

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
